Employment letter for spouse visa

Post by ms_strath » Tue Feb 01, 2022 8:24 pm

Hi everyone,

I am sponsoring my wife and two children under age of 3. I work on an hourly wage and contract of employment says 37.5 hours. Payslips show basic, overtime 1 and overtime 2 (when i do overtime which is paid at higher rate). Working with this employer for last 12 months. I am combining income from 2 jobs to meet financial requirements.

My employer said to me it is non salaried job but in employer letter asking gross annual salary info, so employer wrote annual salary figure based on basic wage and mentioned that i do overtime which is not included in that figure.

My question is will it be acceptable for visa purposes?

I have asked them to put word employment income and calculate like total income from last 12 months including overtime divide by 12 and multiple 12 gives annual figure. But they do not agree to write it like that because in requirements it is asking gross annual salary.

Please help in this regard.

I'm not a salaried employee either and I get paid by the hour.
So to reflect this, my employer wrote me a reference letter converting my hourly paid job income to annual income. That's not an issue at all so dont worry. Just make sure you submit all the payslips, bank statements to show the salary and also the P60 as it has your annual salary.

How to work out Annual income which is asked in employement details on application form? Should that figure match with employer letter figure!

As i mentioned earlier i do overtime and my income vary every month. I have to show £24800 in financial requirement.

The total gross earnings from above mentioned job is 22905.78 in last 12 months.

2nd job i started in july. 7 months now. That job is salaried where i make gross 463.32 every month same. So annual salary from that job will be 5559.84.

I am relying on category B.

Also i need guidance on this question.

Is sponsor currently sponsoring any additional children? I will be sponsoring 2 kids along with spouse application.

Its says 'You should tell us about any additional children they are sponsoring who need a different type of visa to enter or remain in the UK' and then says do not include children who are dependents applying on this application.

What does this mean. If say no then financial requirement threshold on next screen goes down to 18600.
