UK Marriage registration after regilious marriage

Sorry if its the wrong form to post. Please advice the correct one.

My question is simple. Is it ok to register marriage at UK registrar office after religion marriage. Will there be any objection from the registrar on getting married religiously and registering it afterwords with registrar office?
