marriage registration

Guys could you please tell me whats the advantage of registering marriage with the country of EU/EEA spouse?

Hi Lucapooka my partner is hungarian but some one has put in our mind that we should have had our marrige register there. but i dont see the point why??

I dont see the point of this either, as long as you have your marriage registered in UK or any other country (where marriages are recognised by Hungary) you should be fine. Not sure if this helps if you want to take the EEA Nationals country's citizenship, but again you would have to live there to get that.

Dear Sir,

If the marriage is not registered your children will not be registered as Hungarian citizen as well. A marriage has legal consequences in Hungary. It is too much to explain.
