marriage with an EU citizen in the UK

I am a non-EU and my girlfriend is belgian, I currently have a student visa. My questions are simple :

1) Can we make marriage within the UK and what are the procedures? Does anyone have any idea/experience/contact?

2) When married to her, can I be entitled to have permanent residence and work? I mean what does this marriage contribute to me in terms of my prospects?

Any answer greatly appreciated, if not pls at least give me any autority`s website where I can find helpful info.

Please refer to the FAQ area of immigration for family members and start from there - you need to do some legwork dude :oops:

Sorry for asking questions on overlapping subjects. But I guess any HSMP applicant might have a serious EU girl friend ;0))

Dude no offence meant so apologies if my post came across wrong - of course you can ask about mutliple visa types/categories - others have and the forum has responded where possible. Best wishes on the marital front.

Glad we resolved that. Hope things work out for you. Not a consolation as yet but Turkey IMHO will one day be in the EU.
