US marrying a Canadian in the US then moving to Canada?

Post by perpetualsmile » Fri Jan 19, 2007 9:33 pm

I'm a US citizen planning to marry a Canadian and live there, but have the wedding ceremony in the US. After the ceremony, what is the fastest process to be together in Canada? Or...should we marry legally in the US now - then apply for Canadian spousal sponsership? I'm just afraid we'd be married then end up being apart for 6 months or longer! I'm so confused I don't know where to start! Can someone lend their advice? Thanks
