Marrying a green card holder

Post by furious george » Mon Feb 18, 2008 11:04 pm

Hi,

My fiancee is a US green card holder, and we intend to marry and reside in the US. I am from the UK.

Will I be able to apply for a green card as the husband of a green card holder? If not, what would be the quickest way of us being able to live and work in the US? I'm guessing she could apply for citizenship, but would we have to wait until that is granted before anything could be done?

Thanks in advance.

You can apply but the wait for spouses of GC holders is around 5 years.
