When I was in highschool I had some cosmetic chest reconstruction surgery done, this was when I was about 15 or 16 years old I am 21 now. The surgery, as previously mentioned, was mostly cosmetic to treat a chest deformity known as pectus excavatum. This deformity causes the sternum to cave in towards the chest and there are varying degrees of the curve, I had surgery done to make my chest look "normal" not for any medical complications. I am in the process of contacting the appropriate medical opportunities, but I thought it might be of value to post this here and see if this type of surgery prevents me from passing the health assesment.
