[quote="ppron747"] I doubt that there would be any, would there? Although Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory, its immigration legislation is entirely separate from that of the UK. The only possibility that comes to mind is to naturalise as a British Overseas Territories citizen, and then to fol...

According to the H1B arrangements I cannot start work sooner than next October . I was advised that I “can” come to US befor...

Thanks for confirming this, i think i should call them for 100 % though. Reading the rules made me experience a heart-attack level disappointment and the most joyful moment of my dealings with the UK immigration laws. I want to be an IT contractor UK. They operate under a Limited Company. As it seem...

New Bulgaria / Romania - self-emplyed question .

According to the rules a national of Bulgaria and Romania can freely come to UK after 1 Jan and set himself in Business. ( Say under a Limited Company )

Only after that he is required to obtain a Registration Certificate using the BR1 Form.

Is that Correct ?

UK is England , Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland . Does it mean that all Immigration rules that apply to the UK - such as info at workingintheuk.gov.uk - actually apply for all these countries.

do they value MCSE/CCNP etc as a professional qualification

Hello , I am about to send my University diploma to NARIC for evaluation. I was wondering if I should send my professional certificates as well - MCSE / CCNA . Quote from NARIC about evaluation of certificates: "If you wish to work in a specific trade or occupation in the UK send only certificates t...

WP / Business Visa - fastest processing scheme ?

Yeah, looks like I’ve been over 4 years in misbelief that I can legally secure a highly-skilled IT job via the WP process. However, as it turns out, this seems to be impossible. And it makes sense – why in the hell hire a foreign individual when you can hire locally?? So, It’s sad that these WP / Bu...

Re: WP Sponsorship , 1 to 1000 ??

I'd stick my neck out here and say it's Indian software companies offering WP's to Indians since 99% of the WP folks here seem to be South Asian. Not saying they're all dodgy of course! Steve Do You mean there are so many Indian companies that have established themselves in UK ?!? Btw , I read some...

I am just curious , do you know even 1 “visa national” who was granted a WP. How these guys managed to do that ? abused the student visa ?

I just learned that Immgr. Authorities in Bulgaria grant “Visitor” visa for English-Languge courses in UK that last 3 – 6 months. Before that , a student visa was issued but because there was some sort of abuse to this system , they decided to issue “Visitor” visa for these persons. Anybody knows wh...

EU productivity from my understanding can't compete against the Chinese primarily due to labour costs - there is no hiding that such costs will drop with 'cheaper' labour from the new EU states. I think that fresh “visa “ immigrants are paid less only in the first 1 – 2 years. Then, the employer re...

According to www.workingintheuk.gov.uk ,to switch from a student to a WP , you need to "have obtained a degree level qualification" What is considered as a degree level qualification?
