Which visa should I apply on?

Hello,

I am a student on an MSc programme and I would like to set up a buisness in the UK and work towards creating a business and a permanent life here in the UK. What visa schemes are now available to people like me?

Sponsoring parents to move to the UK on my ILR

Hello all, I wondered if anyone has sponsored their parents to move to the UK permanently on the strength of their ILR? Is such a thing allowed? I am the sole child of my elderly parents and have been away from them for 21 years, and would like them to spend the remainder of their life with me. Do s...

Re: Tier 1 Set O applications timelines

Hello, Do you know if there is a way to expedite the application answer under family duress/ family emergency? My father has tested positive for coronavirus and is in hospital and I would like to fly home to see him just in case. Is there a way we can get in touch with the home office to explain thi...

Hi Zimba,

In how much time did you get your reply for ILR? I know you did it pre pandemic but I am just curious. Thank you!

Re: Tier 1 Set O applications timelines

Yes I know but just seeing from the cases that have been submitted before that general turnaround was 7-21 days even during all the lockdowns, and the Tier 2 5 year ILRs seem to be given in 24-48 hours from the guidelines thread that is on this website. Hence I was asking if there was a possibility ...

Re: Tier 1 Set O applications timelines

Ah ok, in that case then though my application was submitted 30th April 21, I didn't find a biometrics appointment until 27th May 21 so my application has only been in for 15 days!   this is making every cell in my body want to be sick

Re: Tier 1 Set O applications timelines

Zimba or any of the moderators, By any chance from your experience and having run this forum, do you know what the process is with the online applications for Tier 1s Set O, for eg, we submit the application online and submit the documentation online, do you know if they review the application in th...

Tier 1 Set O applications timelines

Hi Moderators, I know you have said for the ILR applications it should be in that thread but the difficulty with navigating that current board thread is majority of the applications seem to be Set M and Set O's from Tier 2s, is there anyway you'd be willing to create a new thread for Tier 1 Entp vis...

Re: Tier 1 ILR application worry

Sorry! I was typing and thinking and mixed up the message. What I meant was if you had used furlough so the 80% as per govt guidelines, but chose to pay staff their full 100% salary, so topping it up by 20% though they were furloughed for a few months but the work just wasn't there, the payslips sho...

Re: Tier 1 COVID19 jobs concession update.

@Cullinan, hi, I have a question, I am on Tier 1 ent pre ilr, do you have an idea if there is an issue with HO if I have many ltd companies that I have but aren't anything to do with the visa one. Do I need to declare this and explain the other businesses I have and what they do? They have nothing t...

Re: Tier 1 ILR application worry

Sorry Marcnath, I couldn't find my original thread so had to start a new one. Thanks for answering about P45s One more question, if you have used the furlough and had staff on flexible furlough but paid them their full salary rate before covid times, so full 100%, topping up the 20% on the non worki...

Tier 1 ILR application worry

Hello, Do we need to submit the P45s/ P46 for the staff in the ILR applications? A bit confused as from Cullinan's set o List I didn't see it, nor do I see it on the Gov websites with the Tier 1 guidelines, but my solicitor insists on sending them in. Did anyone send them in or didn't and did it imp...

Re: Payroll without accountant

@cullinan, when you applied for your ILR, did you submit a self assessment tax record? In my case I was on the company payroll as a director but I never had self employed or self assessment, my salary was basic as I was to take dividends, at the extension stage I didn't provide this but just had a p...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Has anyone applied for the ILR on tier 1 Entp route £50k in the last month? Interesting to see the timeline and the process for 2021? I only ask as looking through this ILR forum where my post has been moved to, there are very handy tips and guidelines from the moderators, but nothing so far for 202...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Hi all,

For the travel history part of the application to show you have not been away for more than 180 days per year, how should I do it? Literally create a table stating showing each country, journey and days away?
Is there a type of format you suggest?
Thank you

Re: Payroll without accountant

Hey all moderators, Can someone please link me to a post I'd seen a while back about the list of documents submitted for an ILR application on Tier 1. I've tried to find it and I can't seem to see it at all, unless I am looking in the wrong category right now and should be in the ILR forum? Thanks f...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Thanks Marcnath. Right I have another query which is in connection to one I had posted a few months ago when my staff member asked for her holidays. My worry is that she is contracted to 28 hours per week and another staff member makes the shortfall of 7 hours to make one job of 30 hours plus for t...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Hi! Thanks for you replies. Staff were very much employed but could not be paid as they had used up their hol...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Also I know you said unpaid leave is a grey area in the HO rules but what I am a bit confused about is in any British business ( non Entp 1) if a member of staff goes on leave for an extended period, more than their allowance for that period, no business would pay them and make them take it as unpai...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Thanks for your replies Marcnath. Got it regd started checklist. For the continuous employment, I had employed stated 20th April 20- so to make it 12 months continuous I can only apply for my visa after 20th April 21 to make sure it's the 12 months, and visa expires 2nd May 2021, so my plan is to ge...
