Can a child over 18 apply for UK Citizenship along with mother?

I would be grateful for some advice, please. My wife received ILR this month, and is applying for UK citizenship. There is an option at the end of the application to add another applicant, and one of the options is “Child over 18”. My wife’s son came with her as dependent, applied for ILR along with...

ILR Application for Spouse & Dependent Child who Arrived UK on Different Dates

My wife and stepson both have FLR, and will be applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain next year. They can apply for ILR 28 days prior to the date they entered the UK. But my stepson arrived four months after my wife. He came to the UK as a dependent child, but is now over 18, so I understand he wil...

ILR Application - Child No Longer Living in Family Home

A family friend is living in the UK as a dependent of her mother, who is the spouse of a UK citizen. Both currently have FLR, so their next application will be for ILR. She is 19. Unfortunately she has fallen out with her mother, moved out of the family home and is living with her boyfriend and his ...

Wife and stepson have same FLR expiry date – but stepson joined us 4 months later

My wife came to the UK on a spouse visa February 2017, and her FLR expires November 2019. Her son (my stepson) joined us in June 2017, but his FLR has the same expiry date as my wife (November 2019). This means that he won’t have been in the UK for 2 ½ years when he needs to apply to extend his FLR....

Stepson entered UK aged 16 on Dependent Visa, will be 19 when reapplying

I am British with a Filipino wife. My wife was granted Temporary Leave to Remain earlier this year. Her son (my stepson) was granted TLR shortly afterwards as a dependent of my wife. They are both living with me in the UK, and have BRPs. I believe we will have to apply for TLR again in 2019 (from th...

Extension of Start Date for UK Settlement Visa?

My wife and I live overseas due to my work, but I am due to retire next month and we plan to settle in the UK. My wife’s Settlement Visa application is with the Home Office now, and we are waiting for a decision. But my employers have just asked me to stay on out here for another six months. Is it p...
