Re: New salary threshold of £38,700

My wife would apply for ILR in 2026 - we have childcare commitments and have lived comfortable for 3 years so far, with me earning 33k a year (previously) and now I earn 26k per year - it's still enough that we are comfortable. My wife works part-time once or twice a week, sometimes no weeks at all ...

Re: Payslips Requirement

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure that any documents you submit after the visa application (such as an additional payslip) won't be taken into consideration, even if done before the biometrics.

I hope I'm wrong, but somebody can correct me.

Re: IHS increasing by £400 a year

They know we have no choice to pay it as the only other alternative is to uproot our entire lives and leave this country. It does say "foreigners who temporarily move to the UK will have to pay an extra £400 a year towards health services" - guessing this includes spouse visa renewals as they are st...

Re: Hourly pay

Ok we have applied, fingers crossed! Biometrics were £139, but we were able to get a free one on July 04th.

Will update once we receive a decision, thanks all for your help in getting us ready to apply.

Cohabitation documents are to cover the last 2years. From at least 3 sources, at intervals of 3-4months. Provide what you have as close as possible to meeting the requirements. You should be alright. Ok that's great, I think I have one final question before we can apply though... I was going to use...

Hi all, I'm paid by the hour and get paid weekly, so will need to provide approximately 20 payslips to cover 6 months. Re: When is best time to apply for spouse visa extension?

Read some stories about people applying early, wife's BRP runs out June 26 2023 so when is best to reapply? We can do it now, should we wait further? I ask because she needs 5 years in UK before she applies for ILR right? The focus to get this is not when her BRP expires. More helpful to state her ...

Are you paid hourly or salaried? Although your annual pay is below £18,600, you can meet this requirement with overtime.

Re: Spouse visa renewal - my wife is pregnant

The application will ask for the child's name, date of birth, languages spoken (I know, totally silly) and passport number, leave it blank, if it doesn't let you proceed write N/A and in a cover letter explain the child was born on x date and passport has yet to be applied. The application itself h...

Hi all, My wife is pregnant and due with our first child May 15 2023. Her BRP (spouse visa) expires June 23 2023. When we renew, what documents/paperwork is needed for our child? Ordinarily none, however you may upload birth certificate to serve as further proof of subsisting relationship. I believ...

Spouse visa renewal - my wife is pregnant

Hi all, My wife is pregnant and due with our first child May 15 2023. Her BRP (spouse visa) expires June 23 2023. When we renew, what documents/paperwork is needed for our child? I believe our daughter will hold USA and UK citizenship by birth, but at the time won't have a passport, or may not even ...
