It should work, in addition to this you should get a letter from your employer stating your employment dates, holidays taken and your normal place of work. You might want to consider not stating that Pakistan officials delayed your passport as HO could easily verify this with the pakistani consulate...

What you need to do is provide them with alternate proof of residence for the 4-6 month period you were without a passport. This could be letters from gp, employment letters etc. Also include a cover letter explaining what you have said here.

You must make the HO aware of this asap otherwise this maybe seen as deception attracting a ban of 10yrs from the date of application. You may also consider withdrawing your application altogether if you have applied recently. Seniors can advice better.

The advice given by the respected member above is not accurate. You only have to wait 3 years if you have been convicted in court. Just mention these in the additional information section on the form and you should be fine.

Cold Winter - got a decided status 1 day after you - still waiting for letter as well. Hopefully it comes by this week for both of us! Mate might be worth ringing your council tommorrow to see if thy have recieved anything. Looks like in most cases the council is recieving the letter before the app...

I applied at a different ncs but have checked with my local council. I am aware that the certificate goes to the local council.

This must be so frustrating. An admin error (if thats what it is) has left the OP waiting for an indefinite amount of time as there seems to be no timescale for reconsideration applications.

I would disagree with the respected member above. The 10 year rule applies to immigration breaches. The threshold for non custodial criminal convictions is 3 years from the date of conviction. Seniors can advise better.
