Nat. Question Urgent (honestly couldn't find the answer)

However in september 2005 in my 9th year my visa was rejected on the grounds that the school I went to isn't on the list of DFES education providers (The idiot officer apparently couldn't read)....

If I was you I would go to PEO and get the ILR in person the same day as I dont't trust the postal system. My case was a lot more complicated then yours and I had a refusal too but they don't really look through all of that as long as you've had a visa and everything for 2006

as long as you prove that you did intend to come back within the 6 months then it should not be a problem. It might also be an idea to get a subject access request done this would give details of all your 10 years of stay over here. if you go to the ind website and type in subject access request the...

as long as you have made an in time application and the appeal is allowed then yes all that time will be considered as legal, However the appeal has to be allowed and a visa needs to be endorsed on your passport. I went through the same thing and still managed to get my ILR

they look at stamps in your passport because even though they haven't got embarkation controls the country you arrive at would stamp your passport on entry.

I'm pretty sure that you don't have to have all extensions done here. If you got any of the extensions done in some other country all you have to prove is that you had a legitimate expectation you were going to come back here so I wouldn't worry too much about having all the extensions done here
