Hi

zebra3 the only thing I was concerned about was that we are both married and living in the UK. I am on ILR and my husband is on HSMP so when he applies for a spouse visa do we have to show accomodation & relationship evidence or not?

Also I am correct in saying that he can switch from HSMP to my spouse visa in the country itself using the FLR(M) form?

Hi

My partner has been on his HSMP for a year and now he is going to switch to my spouse visa (I have ILR).

So does that mean that his 2 year qualifying period will count as him being on HSMP + spouse visa towards ILR? OR does he have to be on 2 year spouse visa to get ILR?

Hi

ElenaW: I have read the form and the guidance notes for COA but it is unclear if I need to send my passport or not. I have ILR.

So, do I need to send my passport when he applies for his COA??!!

I recently got my ILR and I want to get married to a HSMP holder. Do we need to apply for a certificate of approval to get married in the UK?

Hi

Generally if you are on a work permit with the same employer the latest P60 is enough but it is entirely at the discretion of the case worker and they could ask you for them. But generally they don't. Make sure you take as many pay slips with you as you can. Also you can get a duplicate P60 from you...

Hi

Thank you! I shall do that then... :-)

Do I need to write a cover letter even if I have an appointment with the PEO? I wasn't going to write one... thought it was only meant for postal applications.
