Re: Right to Abode for Baby born in India for British citize

Hi naveenk,

I am not sure as to what was not straightforward in ur case. You have even consulted a solicitor. You have submitted a true copy of MC also. This is a bit unlucky. But don't worry it's not rejected, it's just taking little more time. Let's be positive and hope for the best.

My baby's original birth certificate was laminated and my SSC certificate was also laminated. So I don't think a laminated document would be a problem.

Re: Right to Abode for Baby born in India for British citize

Thanks a lot Harry. That was a very important piece of information.

I am still not sure of parents' birth certificate. My husband has his naturalization certificate. I am an ILR holder. What do I provide for my birth certificate. Isn't my passport sufficient.

Any help would be grateful.

Hi vinny,

May I know why it's not applicable. I know that he's eligible for a British citizenship directly. But we would like to go for a settlement visa. Can you kindly tell me why can't we apply for a settlement visa.
