Re: Too many absences?

Hi All, I'm looking to apply in person for an ILR based on 10 yr LR and I have a question. Just realised the total number of days spent outside during the 10 year period is 551 days. I wasn't expecting this to be this many and this means I have pushed over the 540 days as per the eligibility criter...

Re: FLR (M) financial requirement Cat A

I already have recent payslips and bank statements. Now that I have changed the appointment date to 15th August 2014 it gives us some extra time. All I'm bothered about is how UKBA calculates a calendar month. I have heard of some horror stories when they mess up with the dates. I'm only handing ove...

Thanks for your reply. Here is an update. I have rescheduled the appointment for 15th Aug 2014. Her visa expires 16th Aug 2014. We each have 6 months bank statements that correspond to our payslips. Both have employment letter and contracts that states our starting time. 21 Oct 2013 for her and 17 F...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Dear All I rang the home office today at 0151-6725-626 opt 1 and then opt 2. I have been told that my application has been passed over to a case worker for consideration but they can't confirm the date when it was assigned to the case worker. Can someone confirm how long it can take from here. My T...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Most likely by end of March. My assumption is based on the number of applicants for Oct Nov Dec 2013, which is far less than July August September 2013. At least that's what the SkyDrive data shows anyway. If SkyDrive data truly represents the overall number of ILR applicants then I expect December ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Welcome to the forum. Although I am not an expert I 'think' you can apply for Discretionary Leave. Check this link. Right at the bottom of the page there is something called Discretionary Leave. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/asylum/outcomes/successfulapplications/leavetoremain/ My relative who w...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Congrats to everyone who have received their BRP's I've noticed that there are a few people who are still not on sky drive. I don't think I can edit/update the sky drive. Please include the new comers if you can. The more data the better I think. Thanks for the insight Hardikjshah83. There does seem...

They will not return your original statements. That is the the policy of UKBA i IMO. You have established presence if you have been in the UK for 12 months. In your case the main applicant was in full time study. Looks like they dont care at the UKBA. We are now using a solicitor to clear things up...

Hello, I applied as a dependant of a PSW visa holder on the 7th of February 2013. Unfortunately it was rejected on the following reason. “You have indicated that you and your husband were married on 14th January 2013. You now wish to join your husband in the UK. It is indicated that your husband was...

We are definitely considering that but are we allowed to marry in the UK? Or do we need special visa/permission for that? Just confused with the whole civil marriage thing.
