Re: Change of employer - Travel implications

Thank you very much, CR001. Just one final clarification. If the CoS application in December 2018 was not successful for any reason, and her current employer already informed Home Office about her resignation through SMS on the same day that she handed in her notice on 30 November 2018, will she be ...

Re: Change of employer - Travel implications

Thank you very much, CR001. On the other hand, in initiating her visa application from within the UK, she plans to use the optional premium service to help speed up the process. The relevant fee will not be paid by her new employer though. Her options and the fees are: (1) Priority visa service - se...

Change of employer - Travel implications

Hi Team My colleague's visa is currently Tier 2 (General). However, she recently found a new employer who is willing to sponsor her, and so her new visa will be Tier 2 (General - Changes of Employment). As she has a notice period of 13 weeks, she will formally hand in her notice on 30 November 2018....

Re: Refused Application for National Insurance Number

Thank you, Robin. So I rang 08001412346 to ask for a clarification. The lady who picked up the phone was kind enough to look into it. This took her less than 10 minutes to check, and she found that the person who reviewed the application failed to notice the copy of the BRP card, which my partner ha...

Yes. He brought his BRP with him during the interview, made a copy of it, and showed the same at the JobCentre Plus.

Incorrect details on Tier 2 visa application form

Hi Team My partner is applying for Tier 2 dependant visa and he already submitted the application form online. However, he made one mistake relating to the date of his previous travel to the UK as a visitor. Would it be possible to manually cross out the incorrect date and write the correct date on ...

Dependant of the main applicant who is switching to a new employer

Hello all, I currently have a UK Tier 2 (employer sponsored) visa expiring in December 2019. My wife came into the UK as my dependant and her visa is also valid up to December 2019. At the moment, there is a plan for me to switch to a new employer, who is also willing to sponsor me. So the key quest...

Personal Savings for Dependent Visa Application

Hello all, My partner will apply for a dependent visa in June 2018. From my reading of the requirements, I understand that each dependant must have £630, in addition to the £945 that I must have to support myself. With our current financial status, this should not be a problem. However, I am plannin...

Family Visa or Marriage Visitor Visa

Hello to you all. :D I did try to look for threads with similar facts as what I have, but I found none. Or it could be that I did not try harder, so please accept my apologies if this topic may have already been dealt with previously. The facts are summarised below: (1) My partner and I are national...

Re: A second opportunity in the UK

Hi again. I have now checked with the previous UK employer and it looks like they have not made an SMS notification following my resignation. This is consistent with the fact that I have not received a curtailemnt letter from the HO. As such, would there be an issue around the "cooling off" period o...

Re: A second opportunity in the UK

Not an issue as you should therefore have proof of resignation and leaving the UK and 12 month cooling off period has passed. After having some further thoughts about the cooling off period, I realised that I actually visited the UK within 12 months from when I left. However, those visits were made...

Re: A second opportunity in the UK

Besides that the clause which says that one person cant have more than 1 cos issued to him at one time, is referring to someone else.. Thanks for your response, iworker. I would be grateful if you could clarify the point that such clause is "referring to someone else". The idea is, if my first CoS ...

Re: A second opportunity in the UK

(1) I am not sure if my first Certificate of Sponsorship and Tier 2 visa were cancelled. Other than asking my previous UK employer, is there any way that I can check if the cancellation was actually made? Your previous employer has/had an obligation to inform HO that you are no longer employed and ...

A second opportunity in the UK

Hello everyone. I tried digging into various forums, but I was not able to find one that is similar to my situation, which I have described below. (1) I started working for a UK employer with a Certificate of Sponsorship attached to my Tier 2 visa. The Tier 2 visa was effective from November 2014 up...
