FLR(M) waiting

After entering the U.K. on a spouse visa, my partner applied for a FLR visa on the 1st April and submitted Biometrics on 27th April but we have not heard anything as yet. It’s been 24weeks weeks. We have contacted UKVI twice and the only response we receive that ‘we are working on it” Is anybody els...

Re: Cyprus Holiday - Visa required?

Thank you for the reply Simon. Im not to sure, they haven't received the BRP as yet, as they only recently arrived in the UK. (Stranded in their home country due to Corona). So, when we do eventually receive the card, if it don't state "Family Member of a Union Citizen" on the card, we will have to ...

Cyprus Holiday - Visa required?

Hi, Me and my Non-EU Spouse are planning to take a holiday in January/February. Im British. On the Cyprus High Commission website, it states that, ''Spouses of EU/EEA/CH nationals who are holders of the relevant Residence Card of a Family Member of an EEA National DO NOT need a visa to enter Cyprus,...

Re: Spouse Visa Waiting Time - 8 months?

I will email him tomorrow and ask. There isn’t any harm or no loss to enquire. Failing that, I suppose I will just have to wait. In December, it will be 12 months since the original decision was overturned. 24 months since my partner left the UK :( Again, thanks for you’re input, it’s much appreciated

Re: Spouse Visa Waiting Time - 8 months?

I have explored all possible angles, my solicitor, VFS, UKVI, even the British Embassy in Chennai and Sri Lanka.

I was just hoping that there was a contact number or email for VFS Chennai but there doesn’t seem to be. All contact links direct you to the UKVI.

Thanks for you’re input

Re: Spouse Visa Waiting Time - 8 months?

Thank you for the reply, but I hope that this isn't the case. I was guessing that they have a huge back log to get through, but its been 8 months.

UKVI are no help, calls costing in the region of £20, only to be told they will escalate, followed by a email asking us to wait patiently

Expired TB Test

Hi everyone, My partner submitted their passport in February (overturned decision/spouse visa). Because of the pandemic situation, they still have not received the passport/vignette. UKVI (Sitel) advised the passport should be returned within 4 weeks, but my partners TB Test expired a few days ago. ...

Re: Cyprus visit visa (Processed in 3 days)

Hi, i just picked up on your post.

You said you submitted 'Confirmed itinerary'. Did you have to do that? I read online, if you are applying as a family member, you do not need to submit the travel itinerary.

Thanks

Re: Schengen holiday with UK Citizen

Sorry yet again, I forgot to add;

Does my partner need to have lived in the UK 3 months, before applying for a Schengen visa?

Thanks again

Re: Schengen holiday with UK Citizen

Apologies

4. As my partner isn’t a British Citizen, do they need different type of travel insurance? Because every tine I have applied for travel insurance, it always asks if I’m a UK citizen.

Thanks again

Schengen holiday with UK Citizen

Hello Soon after we get married and get the FLR visa, me (UK Citizen) and my Non-EU Partner are planning to take a holiday to Europe, probably Malta or Greece. My questions are; 1. Because my partner will be a spouse of a UK citizen, will the Schengen Visa be free if we apply directly to the Embassy...

FLR (M) Application Query

My partner will soon be arriving in the U.K on a 6 month fiancee visa. My query is, how soon can we apply for the FLR(M) Visa? If we applied within, for example, 2 months with priority service, and it was granted the following week, would the visa be valid from the time it was granted OR does it sta...

Working Place Pension

Hi, Soon my partner will be joining me in the U.K on a fiancee visa. Once married and they get the FLR Visa, they will begin to work. Are they allowed to pay into a work Place Pension, where both they and employer pay in. Is that classed as access to public funds? Or will they have to wait for 5 yea...
