Indian Birth Registration - Does this mean Citizenship?

HI All,

We have applied for MN1 for my baby and yet to receive the certificate.
Due to shortage of time, if we start to apply for Birth Registration without applying for Indian passport - Is there any need to surrender Indian Citizenship if by chance we get British Passport?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply guys! I believe we can stay on eVISA for 60days and that would be sufficient to get the OCI done. With respect to this - 1. May I know how many times do we require to visit the FRRO (as we have to visit VFS twice here in UK) 2. Is one of the parent mandatory for submitting OCi a...

Re: Tier 2 General VISA_Sponsorship Revoked

Thanks all. Confused on Q3, best way would be reapplying for dependents as well. Any thoughts? @iworker - Thanks for the update. When you say "depending on if you are eligible for ilr under new rules", I guess you mean the salary requirement. Please correct me if I am missing any other rule. Thanks-

For Q3. It hope I need to go for new VISA for my dependent as well.

Any feedback from other gurus much appreciated.

Re: Please Help - Tier 2 General Rejected

Hi All,

A quick update, my friend's review was also rejected stating that both main applicant and dependent come under the word "migrant".

So what so ever the VISA category is cooling off period applies to both main applicant and dependent. Might be a debatable topic ?

Thanks

Re: maintenance evidence for tier 2 general dependant partne

You can show maintenance funds in the below ways - 1. Ask your employer (main applicant's) to provide a maintenance letter to support you 2. Show enough fund in bank (I guess £630) for 90 days. There will be an option in COS as below, but I am not sure whether you have similar one for the dependent ...

Re: UK NARIC for English Assessment

NARIC certificate is needed if your University is not listed in the PBS and if the university is not listed in NARIC database then you have to qualify a English assessment examination to prove your skills.

If you get points on the PBS calculator then that is more than enough. You can put a copy of the same along with your VISA documents.

Yes, they will send you a mail to your registered email address providing you the link.
It is always better to pay along with the application if you are sure about the amount.

Re: Tier 2 Dependent Visa - Black and White Supporting docum

As far as I know, your pay slips are more than enough for dependent VISA.
If you are skeptical you can ask you employer to reissue a employment letter and you can send a soft copy for VISA purposes.
