Also in EEA FAMILY PERMIT supporting documents it says in the part of "Information about your sponsor in the UK":

- Evidence of your's sponsors nationality: this could be copies of:

• bio-data pages from their passport
  their national identity document

Why submitting copy of EEA passport and certified EEA ID, Can't you get hold of original? either one of it should be enough

I think you'll have to wait till you get your documents back. They do not send an email when it's approved.
