Re: Monday 9 December Ceremony & Stormy Weather

Does anyone know if there are photos taken of us that shared somewhere? I know there is spam_do_not_click_here video but it's only displaying the stage and not people. I believe there must be some photographers or anyone who took photos of the whole thing :)

Re: After Getting the Irish Passport - Important Questions for everyone

1. Once you have all documents (photos, Garda signed photos and application forms, proof of address etc) ready, it normally takes 4 weeks. 2. You can now apply for your first passport online if you live in Ireland. You still have to post all documents to them but it's still easier and quicker than ...

After Getting the Irish Passport - Important Questions for everyone

Hello Guys, I have questions if anyone with any information: 1- Once we receive the certificate and finish with the ceremony, how long does it take to apply for the passport until you get it? 2- Will we be able to apply for ID as well or not valid for us? I mean normal ID to be able to travel with i...

Re: Citizenship Revoked Experience!?

Oh that's very good that no one have experienced that. You all right, revoke would be something very dangerous to the state or false data. As long as no one experience it then no point to keep the topic open. I thought it's good to share experience so people to be aware of things but seems it's very...

Re: Citizenship Revoked Experience!?

No he wouldn’t get his citizenship revoked for divorce. If he entered the marriage for sole reason to get citizenship then maybe. Naah I do not think so, they have kids born here (Not irish but) and they been married for a long time. I thought divorce after citizenship could be a strong reason to r...

Citizenship Revoked Experience!?

Hello Guys, I thought that it would be good if we open a topic of what could cause a citizenship to be revoked from an applicant after receiving the passport. Does anyone know or heard or dealt with such before to share experience with us? There is one guy I know who approved for the coming DEC 9th ...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Next two weeks are important. If we get court decision this week or next week and if it doesnot require any law change then there is a chance that we will get ceremony on 16 Dec as per 4 week rule. Else wait for next year jan 2020. Please keep an eye on that and update us as I literally following y...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

So let’s arrange a massive demonstrations in front of INIS and high court to show them who make a decision that we are not alone, let’s show them that we are standing together. Otherwise no one will come to our homes and no one gonna help us . Spread out the information that we are gonna gather in ...

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

I am trying to find a reasonable explanation about what is actually going on here, and how a 'court ruling' that was brought in completely out of the blue without any warning, is in fact affecting current ongoing applications and not only those that came in after this ruling. It just doesn't make s...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

My interpretation of these terms: "at an advanced stage of processing" - means anything after the second stage letter has been sent "being prepared for submission to the Minister" - means anything after the application has been acknowledged After second stage checks, there is a final checklist that...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

Can you make a chart like this for people from Afghanistan Not really. As there are only two users (yourself and Captainf) who I know are from Afghanistan it's not very meaningful data. I think the department doesn't give citizenship easily to people from middle Eastern countries. I don't know anyo...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Have you contacted your TD yet? I contacted one early this year and she was a very helpful and responsive. ... Citizenship answer to the TD was generic but I might contact her again, I just do not want to distrub her in again in a short period. ... I am going to wait until the end of August and see...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

sound to me like they could not solve the problem of the process so the judge decided to a whole new rule to stop the flow of the applicants and reduce the pressure on the office. That's a pretty wild theory, I hope you don't really believe it. I know it's coming out of the frustration, been waitin...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

If the new citizenship rule applies for everyone who submitted their application and still in the process then there is a big mess for a lot of us. According to my understanding you cannot even leave for a day otherwise we will be rejected or delayed or whatever "NOT SURE WHAT WILL BE THE SITUATION"...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

You can go through the immigration control without GNIB card - that’s not a problem. I’ve done it five times. My concern is that with the abolishment of re-entry visas, some airlines may not admit a person on a plane if they don’t have a GNIB card or re-entry visa. In my case I was travelling by Ae...

Hello Guys, I am on the same boat as you since Nov 2017 and not sure why applications on late 2018 got approvals and already invited into the coming ceremony while a lot of us in 2017 have never heard from them.
