Fiance Visa - sole parental responsibility

Hi, we are about to submit our application but before we do we would like to ask what members think of our situation with my partner's son's biological father. He has signed a notarised document in which he gives his permission for his son to live with his mother in the UK and he has signed another ...

Re: Financial requirements - Fiance Visa

Not helpful. The question - which you have moved - was if anybody knew how long priority visa applications are currently taking to process. Implicit in this question is the concept that I am interested in PRIORITY visas. We have been offered a Priority Visa application by VFS in China for a Fiance V...

Re: Financial requirements - Fiance Visa

That's really good solid advice. Thank you. Sadly the cash savings alone are not quite enough. However, if we extract the non-earned income and declare it separately, then it and the cash savings do cover the FR. We have all the provenance for the non earned income, rental contracts, copies of the b...

Financial Requirement Combining Category C and D

Hi, Where cash savings are used as well as non earned income for the FR for a fiance visa, does anyone know the following? If the cash savings figure includes money from the non-earned income source, e.g. rental money paid into a current account, do we need to split out the rental income from the ov...

Re: Financial requirements - Fiance Visa

Thanks. I'm really struggling to understand the logic behind it NOT being acceptable but then logic seems to be somewhat arbitrary where HO is concerned.

Re: Financial requirements - Fiance Visa

Thanks again - I do see this. The problem is that other people, "experts" and advisors and other websites are saying that the rental income only applies to the Sponsor when the applicant is out of the UK!! Logically, this makes no sense to me, and the directorate seems pretty clear. But I'm confused...

Re: Financial requirements - Fiance Visa

Thanks for this - I am aware of these requirements, the question is whether or not it can be included in the application as it is HER property and rental income and not mine. I am not clear on the distinction between what is allowed as she is applying outside the UK.

Thanks

Financial requirements - Fiance Visa

Hi Can anyone provide a definitive answer in respect of what exactly can be combined to meet the FR for a Fiance Visa? My partner is in China and wishes to come here, with her 11 year old son, to marry me. She has approximately £52000 in cash savings. I am self employed and this year have had to rel...

Re: Visitor visa - options

Not looking for a loophole or a cheat, just a hope that due to the chaos and disruption of the pandemic, there may have been some compassion and relaxation of the normal constraints. I guess not.

Re: Visitor visa - options

She isn't in the UK. We have not seen each other since last Christmas. The question was about whether there is a way, if she comes here on her extant visitor visa, she can extend that and apply for settlement in any other way. We are almost ready to apply for the fiance visa (from China) but we are ...

Visitor visa - options

Hi does anyone know what options there are for my partner to apply for a fiance visa whilst in the UK on her visitor visa?

If that's not possible are there any other visas she could apply for without the need to return to China?

Thanks

Current waiting times - Fiance visa

Hi - does anyone know if the HO website quoted targets for applications are still relevant at the moment given the lockdown?

We are thinking of getting the priority service but if any one has any info about delays we may not bother.

Many thanks

Healthcare Surcharge - Fiance Visa

Hi, ca anyone confirm that a fiance visa application does not require the upfront payment of the healthcare surcharge, but it must be paid for within 6 months of entry?

Also, as my fiance will be bringing her son with her, does the same apply for his surcharge?

Many thanks

Start Up Visa

My fiance is looking to apply for a Start up visa for the UK. She meets all the criteria and she has already spoken with an approving body;

She wants to know if, during the 2 year period of the visa, she is allowed to marry me?

Re: Fiancee has 24 month Visa and wants to come over with her son

Thanks - this is sufficiently scary for me to postpone any idea of bringing her over in the meantime.

I assume I'm ok to travel to her on a normal visa/passport without it affecting her application? (Normal as in anything is normal at the moment!)

OK. then it's a bad idea for her to come here on her tourist visa at all? I assume she wouldn't be able to come over while the fiance visa was being processed.

Re: Fiancee has 24 month Visa and wants to come over with her son

Hi - yes. We will be applying for a fiance visa in order to marry. But we have been separated since Xmas because of the virus and we wondered if it is possible to get her son a tourist visa and to travel with her (she has 18 months left o run on her own 24 month tourist visa), so that we can be toge...

Fiancee has 24 month Visa and wants to come over with her son

Hello, My fiancee (Chinese citizen, Beijing) has 18 months left on her 24 month Visitor visa. We plan to marry and I know that that will be a more protracted process. She came here at Xmas and I was going to visit her in March - which clearly was not possible. She would like to come over again and b...
