Re: Scorecard approach for not working candidate

Child benefit is social welfare, the only difference is that it's not means tested like others. The test there is that it stops when the child reaches 18 years of age - whether the payment is still needed or not in the family. For the bank account, it is a shame that she doesn't have one. It really...

Re: Next Ceremony

Hi everyone
Has anyone, who got application approved before COVID, received the affidavit/declaration to complete in order to be issued the certificate of naturalisation?
Is there any timeline since the declaration of Minister for Justice Helen McEntee on this process?

Re: GNIB Renewal for Citizenship applicants while waiting for next ceremony

I thought the permission is renewed till 20 January next year? It would be quite silly for INIS not to be able to arrange for a 'ceremony' (or so-called statutory declaration) by that time. Don't take my words for it, but if you want to take a risk, maybe try using the online renewal platform and s...

For me it Belaita me comment makes sense as no ceremony around the corner and it will be just affidavit sent to people probably for next year or so.
Did not they say they will be sending the statutory declaration in 4 weeks after the minister announcement?

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

Personally speaking I thought the petition was meant to get a ceremony going ASAP because that’s what we want in the end of the day. So if we can all get to the point and fix the petition so it states we would like a ceremony ASAP that would be recognised faster. Plus this thread was meant for the ...

The guideline is very clear. You will get the remainder of the 3-year permission free of charge. You need to directly contact the Burgh quay office by email, instead of using the online platform.
Thank you littlerr. Do you have a reference to the relevant guidelines or rules?

Thank you littlerr. They returned my IRP card and asked me to renew it. There was no indication on free renewal.
