Re: MN1 Application

I did just that last December. Children were undergoing MN1 process after parents were settled. We arrived at the airport with the receipt for the MN1 and had absolutely no issues at immigration. Thanks for confirming that. Could you please confirm whether the kids had a valid visa at the time they...

Heathrow Immigration Control - Mixed Passports

Hello, My wife and I will be travelling with our children (5yo and 1yo) to the US and back in a couple months. Both of us have an ILR, one is an American citizen and the other has another citizenship that doesn't allow passing through the passport gates. The children are both UK citizens. We're tryi...

Digital copies of documents

Hello, A significant portion of the documents I have gathered for my ILR application are print outs of digital copies. This includes the P60s and pay stubs, as well as many bills used for proving cohabitation. My employers (current and previous), won't stamp the P60s as they claim they are already a...

Re: New Baby before ILR

Figured as much, however with my eldest we traveled before he got his visa. A little wait at the airport, but they then gave him a temporary one at the airport without too much fuss. It has been over 3 years ago, and I wonder if they got tougher since.

Re: New Baby before ILR

Many thanks.
Will we be able to travel with the baby? She will have citizenships from countries who are permitted to enter the UK without a visa.

Thanks!

New Baby before ILR

Hello, I'm on a tier 2 (General) and plan to apply for ILR on October 2018. My wife and I are expecting a baby next month (March 2018). I was wondering if it would be possible to avoid applying for a depndant visa for her, and wait until we apply for the ILR as the time in between isn't necessarily ...

ILR after 5 Years for Switch from Tier 2 (General)

Hello,

If I switch from Tier 2 (General) to Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) after 3 years, will I be able to request an ILR when I reach the 5 years mark, or does the count start again from the time of the switch?

Thanks!

Re: Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Effective Date

Thank you! This creates quite the conundrum, as I would like to give a 30 days notice, however I don't want to take the risk of resigning before my application is approved. I won't be at a legal risk if I resign due to visa change as my contract covers this option, but I wanted to be professional ab...

Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Effective Date

Hi All, I am currently on a Tier 2 (General) visa. My plan is to apply for a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa, and once it is approved, give the 30 days notice to my current employer. Will it be possible to have the Tier 1 visa come into effect later than the time it is approved, 30is days after in this c...

Re: Criminal Record

Hello again,

A solicitor just told me that since I'm applying from inside the UK there is no need for the security clearance and therefore I do not need to provide criminal records. I'm not able to find any reference for this, can any one confirm this?

Thanks in advance!

Criminal Record

Hi All, When applying for T1E, it is my understanding that I should provide a criminal record check for all countries I lived in for over 12 months during the past 10 years. For me and my wife this includes the US, HK and the UK. Do I need to provide the criminal record check for the US and HK only,...
