Re: Taking Master Degree->Looking For a Job->Bringing My Family

Hi, It is going to be a lengthy process, but you can do it. Based on your graduation degree and having enough score in IELTS, you will be eligible to apply for the master's program in any good university in Ireland. Will cost you around 15-20K for fees etc (depending on your university) and living e...

Re: First time passport application

I sent mine on the 30th. For the first 2 days, it wouldnt appear in the system. Now it does and it gives me the 27th of May as the delivery date. Exactly the same situation for me, applied on 30th and today it started to show on the tracker with an estimated date of delivery on 27th May. I wish Cit...

Re: INIS Service Improvement Plan 2018-2020

But we are already on half way of this timeline of 2018-2020 plan and there are no changes so far. I don't expect anything being rolled out anytime soon. There is no rocket science involved in providing an online application system, where people can enter their details using an online form, attach s...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

my solicitor told me he has no problem to send a letter but also said we'd better not make empty threats of judicial review. :? i've also poked another td who is closer to my area, they seemed to submit the inquiry already. does anyone have an experience with INIS replies to TDs before and after FO...

Re: Travel to KIllarney from Dublin on 29th April 2019

Thanks, yes one hell of a bumpy ride for me over the last 18 months.
On my invitation, it says arrive by time 10:00 a.m., and also says don't arrive too early. So I assume it is the time to report and then there might be a big queue and actual ceremony/oath will be further 1 or 2 hours later.

Re: Travel to KIllarney from Dublin on 29th April 2019

I live around 200 km away from Killarney and have to be there by 10:00 a.m. on 29th. I plan to drive in the morning leaving at 6:00 and google maps showing to arrive by 9:00, assuming I will be fine even if there is a minor delay or traffic jam on the way. Am I risking too much? Not sure, but I have...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

I believe if you can afford the costs of a judicial review, you should go for it. Obviously, the department has no valid reason to reject your file and if you are confident there is nothing substantial department can find against you then you don't need to worry. As you have a copy of your file unde...

Re: Attending Ceremony on April 29th, How can we give feedback to the department?

Did that many times, when I was not getting my approval, even sent reminders to both ministers. Did not get more than a template response from their private secretary "I wish to acknowledge receipt of your email dated ..... " I don't think our dear minister for justice is familiar with new technolog...

Re: Attending Ceremony on April 29th, How can we give feedback to the department?

I asked a local TD about raising the awareness and she said we are in a country where people are dying on the trollies in the hospital and reaching to the terminal stage of cancer before they are seen by the consultant. Immigration or citizenship queue is less of the priority. I can create an online...

Attending Ceremony on April 29th, How can we give feedback to the department?

Hi all, I am just wondering, for all those who are attending the next ceremony and believe that the system and processes they have to follow to get a decision on their application should be improved, how can we provide the department collective feedback to make sure that they take it seriously and i...

INIS Phone Helpline Closed till 30th April

Hi all, Just so you all know rather than wasting your time on trying to keep re-dialing the INIS helpline, the lines are officially closed till April 30th. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/contact-citizenship Perhaps, a few of us can have some peace of mind otherwise there was always an itch to ...

Re: TD PQ

I heard that every TD is paid to run a local office in their constituency, where they are supposed to listen to people's issues. As a constituent, you should raise your concern to your representative. Please book a clinic with the Minister by calling his local office (details below) and raise yours ...

Re: Teams and stages

guys, don't stress too much on the teams and stages. There is no pattern followed by this department. Also, don't confuse with teams sending you written letters and the teams responding to your emails. They are different. My experience, the team which issued the first letter remains the same through...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

I have no problem with that. Any person who obtains citizenship in a fraudulent way, or supports any kinds of terrorism, should have their citizenship revoked. I'm not keen on offering any of my taxes to those guys to access free legal aid. I agree while it is obviously wrong to use any fraudulent ...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Another silly question 🤪.. when I asked about the invitation for April ceremony. She replied it’s depends on the minister ‘s decision first..so my question is how many chances to get approval if they send file to the minister.. like normaly people says only those files they send to minister that th...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Finally, after 142 tries I managed to talk to someone on the INIS phone line. The same story as you guys, it is ready for submission, waiting for a Directive from the Minister Office to get a signal for a go ahead. Asked, when it will be submitted, she told we are just waiting. Asked, is there a big...

If you look on my post about my experience on receiving my file after Freedom of Information (https://www.immigrationboard...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

It is so pathetic how applications are being processed by INIS. I can tell you that one of the first few questions in the initial state checklist produced by INIS says, "does signatures on form 8 match with Passport". So basically, when your application was received on October 2017 till this January...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

To be honest, your application starts getting prepared for submission to the Minister from the day it moves from the initial stage to the second stage ;) I hope you get your decision soon, but all these statements don't mean anything new.
