Re: Travelling to India after UK naturalization

There is a fixed penalty for travelling on the passport beyond the 3 month window under normal conditions. So it's evident that some people are clearly able to use it to travel to India. Check this page for the penalty amount: https://www.hciwellington.gov.in/docs/1579845980SURRENDER%20OF%20INDIAN%2...

Re: French citizen returning to France from UK with family member

thank you for your reply. Sorry, I was not specific enough. I am a French citizen and my partner is an African citizen. Directive 2004/38 / CE does not allow me to settle with my partner in France because I am a French citizen. But I would like to know if there is a Surrinder singh route for France...

Re: French citizen returning to France from UK with family member

Hello, My civil partner is not from the EU and I am a French citizen. We live in the United Kingdom but we want to return to France. But in any French text, we can't ask for a French EU residence card, while it is a rule of the union. Has anyone else had this problem? Have you been able to solve yo...

UK Post Study work visa - is it coming from 2021 or not?

My younger sister had an offer from a US university for this fall but she has deferred it due to Covid-19. It's also bit unclear on what the job situation will be in the US for foreigners even later because of the H1B issues. So, she wants to consider applying to the UK as well for her master and de...

Re: Applying for work permit in two EU Countries?

@ALKB, could the OP apply for a Bluecard in a country with the most permissive rules and then work in other EEA member-states under the Van Der Elst judgment ? Hi. I also discussed this with my employer earlier if such a situation was possible. Apparently, the Van Der Elst rules are very specific a...

Re: Tier 4 Visa - Experience Letter required or not

At the time of applying Tier 4 Visa whether I have to submit my work experience letter at VFS. What aspect of your eligibility for a Tier 4 visa would this relate to? I don't see how it has any bearing. In some countries, visa advisory services or VFS itself ask candidates to provide maximum docume...

Re: Applying for work permit in two EU Countries?

I don't think there is a problem with having two applications as such - apart from one of the permits not getting validated since you can only be resident in one country. You may run into practical problems, though, like possibly being asked to submit your passport at the same time to two different...

Re: Requesting information on General student visa (Tier 4)

Hi. You haven't clarified what kind of degree programme you're going for in the UK. Is it a regular master's degree, MBA etc.? If the master's programme is related with your previous study or if you can justify even a change of specialisation/subject with any compelling reasons, I doubt the gap of t...

Re: Applying for work permit in two EU Countries?

Will the work permit authorities in either of the two countries reject the application just because it's being processed somewhere else? What do you mean by this? Sorry, I should have clarified it better in my original post. Here's what I meant: the employer's German office will apply for the norma...

Re: Personal Savings for Tier 2 Dependent VISA

Not sure what you mean by "missing 1 month" but for dependent visa for spouse and/or kids, you need to show a certain salary requirement (usually above 20000 GBP). That's the bare minimum though, it doesn't guarantee a visa. This is NOT relevant to a tier 2 dependent visa. You are confusing it with...

That would be self employment, which is not permitted.
Does this then also include sub-letting/renting your apartment at Airbnb or doing any kind of freelance side project?
