They will not accept anysize other than 51 x 51. British PP photo is 45 x 35- is not acceptable. If you do not want to waste your time and money, then do 51 x 51 photo. Snappy Snap do it- I think 4 for £15. I have personally seen many people been refused at HCI counter.

The thumb impression is asked when you are making a making new/renew passport, since it goes onto the passport. Like when you will apply for OCI, you will be asked to get baby's thumb impression.

You have got surrender certificate. Therefore you don't need anything else other than copy of british passport.

I applied on wednesday 20th through C & S. i rang the helpline today they told that it would take few more days. If you get any update, keep us updated.

magsi, the interview booking number is 0300 222 1000. You need togive the booking reference no. that you will obtain from the passport helpline (0300 222 0000), not the barcode. You need to provide the barcode to the passport helpline to obtain the reference no. if your application has been processed.
