Re: 3 Months gap in claiming Treaty Rights?

Hi again, Exactly, £1000 is a lot of money to risk. Hence I was so rigorous. If you want to be on a safe side you may want to try to apply the same rigour which might complicate things a bit: you were no longer a student when the registration certificate was issued (although you could argue that it ...

Re: 3 Months gap in claiming Treaty Rights?

Hi, From what I've found out calling the helpline (UKBA European Enquiries: 0300 123 2253 ?) you don't still need to be a student but needed to be a student for the time you are claiming to be a student. And this is the period which naturally would count toward your "Treaty Rights claim period" -pre...

Re: Date of arrival + one of absences off by 1-2 days:

Big thanks for reply milan69, So I understand that I should be fine with 1-2 days off on the date of arrival. Just to confirm (yes no would do): Will the same apply to one of my returns to the UK? (missed a flight and rebooked at the airport without boarding electronic pass, lost physical one of cou...

Re: Sending graduation/degree certificate vs Registry letter

Big thanks for reply Torex, I don't have CSI but I have received my HO registration certificate before 2011 without being asked for CSI that's why I think I would qualify under transitional arrangements. I was a student and a worker for most of the time (apart from 3 months gap of not being a worker...

Date of arrival + one of absences off by 1-2 days:

Hi all, I am an EEA citizen looking to put a naturalisation application. I might be off 1-2 days on the date of arrival to the UK (which was 9 years ago) and also on one of the absences in from the UK (return flight). I will put it conservatively as coming later + spending more days outside to be on...

Re: Sending graduation/degree certificate vs Registry letter

Hi everyone, Just to add: I hold a degree from UK university (Aston University) and would like to claim my knowledge of English on the basis of this degree as well as the period of claiming Treaty Rights as a student. I've been looking through Guide AN and found the attached. The first OR would sugg...

Re: Missing P60+Evidence of lawful residence during the 5 ye

Hi martin54, Thanks for a reply. However, the question is slightly different: will a contract to show the start and P45 to show the end be enough? Yes/no? Only if not your suggestion would need to be exercised. (for some reasons I need to put an application quickly so I wouldn't want to wait for HMR...

Re: Best London Town Hall for Citizenship ceremony:

I think that all ceremonies take their place inside, otherwise it would be a bit of an open air event which in the UK is risky as you never know with the weather :) "which town hall in london do you like? take a pick" - that's what I am asking people to share their experiences of. As the building mi...

Re: Evidence of freedom from immigration time restrictions:

Sorry Obie,

I did not know that this is a policy.

I was doing it to make searching threads clearer (one topic one title) for the people that would search my posts after me.

Sorry again, will be consolidating as much as it is logical from now on.

Re: Missing P60+Evidence of lawful residence during the 5 ye

Is that really necessary or a contract to evidence the start of employment and P45 to show the end of employment would be enough?

Best London Town Hall for Citizenship ceremony:

Hi all, This might sound to you like a trivial question but for me a citizenship ceremony is a big deal and I would like to celebrate it in the nicest town hall in London. I would like for my family to celebrate with me and take photos of the occassion. Form AN gives the choice of the venue. Could y...

Proof of address:

Hi all,

Is there a need to send a proof of address for every address declared?

If yes, will one bank statement per address from within the period suffice?

I'm asking because I can't see the requirement for a proof of address anywhere.

Big thanks

Missing P60+Evidence of lawful residence during the 5 years

Hi All, I am an EU citizen who would like to claim Treaty Rights as a worker for a certain period. I have a HO Registration Card but no Permanent Residence Card. I have a contract of employment to prove a start of employment and P45 for the end of employment. I also have P60 for all but one year (on...

Hi All, I would like to use a period of claiming Treaty Rights as a student. Official name of the Eurotunnel border crossing:

Hi All,

I have first arrived to the UK through the tunnel ;) (Eurotunnel).

Does anyone know the official name (or the place) of the Eurotunnel border crossing or can I just put down "Eurotunnel"?

Point 2.1 of form AN requires that: Date and place of first arrival in the United Kingdom

Big thanks

Hi Miangee,

Thanks for a rapid response!

I understand then that the marking it with name and date of birth at the back is only in case it detaches itself and lands somewhere random.
