Re: EEA Family Permit or Tourist Visa

1. Yes, EEA FP can be used for short visits, as well as entry with intending to stay permanently. 2. Q. Purpose of Visit? A. Visit 3. Q. How long do you intend to stay in UK? A. So many days, weeks, whatever! The EEA FP application has so many questions, that you will certainly come across one or tw...

EEA Family Permit For Non EU Family Members - Yes or No?

Haven't been here in a long time... My question is about the McCarthy ruling which is supposed to have taken effect in April 2015. Has anyone since, successfully entered the UK with their EU Card and passport only, minus the Family Permit? Are the Border ECO's aware of this 'new' ruling, or is it st...

Re: UKBA ARRESTS PREGNANT WOMAN

The title of your post is misleading... I thought she had already been arrested! Hardly likely that UKBA officials will barge into your home to arrest her (unless she is some sort of criminal whom the authorities are actively searching  ). Has she made any effort to legalize her stay since you...

Dover To Calais - No Immigration Checks?

We returned from UK to Nederland yesterday by ferry using the Dover-Calais route.
I was surprised to see that there was NOBODY doing immigration checks at Calais!
All the booths were practically empty and everyone just drove through. Wierd...

Did you receive an email first that your visa was issued and the tracking number for DHL service or you find out about your visa processing time after you have received your passport back? I sent my documents via DHL, so I know exactly when the item was received by UKBA. The Permit was issued the f...

It would probably be more helpful if you could post the actual wording of the refusal letter, as opposed to just saying "we are not satisfied by you...".

What are they not satisfied about?

PROCESS OF APPLYING FOR AN EEA FP FROM NETHERLANDS

When I applied for a UK Visa from The Netherlands a couple of years ago it was all pretty straightforward... Apply online and book an appointment at the British Consulate in Amsterdam for biometrics and presentation of documents. While there you were asked to self address an envelope in which the pa...

The Visa is valid from the date it was issued to the date it expires. So they are free to travel to the UK within those dates (regardless of the dates they filled in on their applications).

Why not use the 'Belgian Route'?
Most Nederlandse mensen who want to bring in a foreign partner just cross over for six months, then come back via the EU Route. No 'Income Requirement'.
Check out www.buitenlandsepartner.nl
Lots of info there.
Good luck!

If you are merely INVITING her and not necessarily SPONSORING her trip, than an Invitation Letter is enough!
