Re: English Language Requirement

Can anybody share me an authentic source from UKBA which says that you need to prove english capabilities even when you have proven it during ILR ( after Oct 2013) I was asked for my English language exam letter in my NCS appointment even though I had obtained ILR after 28th Oct. 2013 and had check...

Re: Spent conviction for FPN ?

I have read several cases on this forum about HO and NCS giving incorrect advise. I'm not saying they are incorrect in your case but I am not convinced they are right either. There are several cases on this Forum with FPN's within 3 years of application who have had acceptance (I am not sure what F...

Re: Spent conviction for FPN ?

So did you apply? No. Got another NCS appointment after the expiry date. (Cost me the NCS fee  but better the loosing the application fee) What happens if someone has 1 PCN and 1 FPN (without any points) in quick succession in the year of applying for naturalisation? Will the expired FPN and t...

Re: Spent conviction for FPN ?

Hi guys, I went to the NCS and the case worker was of the opinion an FPN can be treated as a 'non-custodial sentence' depending on what the offence was. He called the H.O. and they asked if the details of the FPN. I told them £100 fine and 3 points for CD10. The H.O. also advised that it might be re...

Re: References needed again for passport?

If we go through JCAP :- - Would the referees for naturalisation be sufficient for passport application ? - Would the photos be needed extra for passport application? Do they need to be countersigned? 1) The countersignatory section of the passport form doesn't need to be filled. 2) You need to pro...

Re: Acceptable profession list - IT ?

If the IT Consultant works through his own limited company then I guess he'd qualify under one of these: - Director/Manager/Personnel Officer of a VAT registered Company or - Manager/Personnel officer (of limited company) Ok. This would then go for any one contracting or working through their own l...

Ok.

Which section should I fill it in?

It's not criminal conviction then is it civil penalty or caution/warning (3.4 - 3.6) or just in additional details section ?

Thanks

Re: Spent conviction for FPN ?

Thanks for your reply.

As I understand it, the above offence if gotten after going to court, I would have to wait for 3 years (spent)
If awarded by police (no court involved), then no wait/spent time involved.

Am I correct ?

Re: SELT no. for old style IELTS test

Thanks WR1 for your reply. I took the IELTS on 28th Oct. 2013 and used that for my ILR. I got my ILR in June 2015. I thought the "Met the lanuage for ILR applied after 28 October 2013 option" is for language only and my IELTS was before that 28th Oct. 2013. Which option should I use? Isn't sec. 1.23...

SELT no. for old style IELTS test

Hello,

I had my test in 2013 and there is no SELT UER on it.

Only number I can find are:- Centre, Candidate, and Test Report Form number

I am guessing it should be the last one. Is this correct or is there a way to call them up and get it?

Thanks

I don't think there is any NI threshold for naturalisation, only for ILR.

Do parking fines, bus lane & FPN affect my citizenship

Which section should I use to declare my speeding fine or other penalties (driving in a bus lane, parking fine) ?

Is it the section on criminal conviction, civil penalty or caution/warning ?

Thanks
