Re: housing benefit, rc and application ilr

Thanks. I think I am putting that housing benefit claim on hold. There seem to be quite a few changes these past months and I need to get a clearer picture before taking any risks. I am applying for jobs anyhow. Will it have a negative effect on my eea3 application that since end of May I do not wor...

Re: Schengen visa for - unmarried - EEA family member

Ok wow the Schengen visa center in London told me for Germany that we need to send a marriage certificate.... I am confused! It sounds like you got one for Germany without such paper. Did u do that through mail or did you have an appointment?
You are very experienced :)

Re: Schengen visa for - unmarried - EEA family member

Ok thanks. Did you get that as EEA family member or through the normal application process that takes longer and requires more information? And if EEA family member, are you also unmarried?

Schengen visa for - unmarried - EEA family member

The Schengen visa centre in London told me on the phone that I can only obtain a schengen visa from Germanu for my partner with a marriage certificate. I am in a state of shock! After all that liberal residence card and free movement achievement, it is not possible to obtain a schengen visa? It is h...

Re: EEA fam member, no Sch vis- plane from D, via F, to Alge

Hi thank you! He will be travelling to Germany with me which we have done in the past. But he will fly out of Paris, or possibly Marseille depending on availability of flights, and for that he may have to have to change from airport to airport. But we may then just choose flights to and from the mai...

EEA fam member, no Sch vis- plane from D, via F, to Algeria?

Hello, Can anybody tell me if my Algerian partner with a British residence card through me, German national, can take a flight from Germany via France, Paris to his home country Algeria and back the same route? He has no Schengen visa and cannot get it so quickly, we are normally living in the UK, a...

French law and no (visa)free movement of unmarried partners?

As far as I understand EU law, member states can exercise discretion in the free movement right of family members, when it comes to 'other' family members (that are not spouses, dependants, or ascendants). That means: they can exercise discretion for registered partners (if their national legilsatio...

Thanks! We are travelling together. If that is made a point for concern, I will then refer to that the EU Directive 2004 does not stipulate a specific form or format for the Residence 'Card' and that this is the form that was given to us by the British authorities, which however in any case is a val...

What you describe as 'illegality', seems to me rather a case of confused and unknowing bureaucracy. Sure, if you want to sort that out, and take all the time and effort to do that, fine. Even if at the mere bonus of saving 16pounds, at the expence of a lot of trouble, nerves, and activity spent on t...

Residence Permit on separate paper:Schengen zone w/out visa?

Is that a valid legal statement by the French visa authority TLS, stating this in their FAQ, or is it misinformed: My British residency permit is not stamped in my passport but it is on a separate piece of paper. Can I still apply for a visa? As per international practice, your UK residency permit m...

16 quid?? Just pay it and be done with it.... just for the sake of all that time and nerves you got to put into it, and to continue doing that. However, I got a very positive and clear response from VFS, after looking at his passport and British residence permit, that no Schengen visa is required ev...

But what about unmarried family members of EEA nationals ? Can EU countries reject entry if a Schengen visa ...
