Income Tax Clearance Certificate before emigratting for work

Hi all, While searching on internet for information about filling tax returns when travelling on Tier 1, I came across various links where it mentions "A resident Indian proceeding overseas for employment has to apply for an Income Tax Clearance Certificate on Form 31, as per Section 230 (I)" Source...

Travel Insurance - Tier 1

Hi all,

I am traveling to UK shortly on Tier 1 visa. I am exploring Travel Insurance providers (e.g. TATA AIG, Bajaj Allainz, HDFC etc). Do you have any recommendation? Or maybe Insurance providers to avoid?

push_hsmp, thank you for the reply. So if I understand correctly, it's more about questioning - why so late, why now etc. It is not like - "your visa is invalid" or "we can't allow you" because you didn't enter within 3 months from date of issue of your visa. As you mentioned, your reply is based on...

UK intial entry time limit

Hi, I got my Tier 1 visa approved in January 2009. But circumstances changed on personal front because of which I couldn't travel to UK immediately. From what I understand about the entry requirement is that a person can enter the UK any time provided his Visa is valid at that point of time. Has any...

Yes, they asked for Chest X-ray when I went to UK on Work Permit. So I'll carry that.

I hold a UK bank account. I will carry around 300 GBP in cash. Do I need to carry my Latest Bank statements for my UK bank account?

Any other documents members here know of?

Thank you for the quick reply. My question was related to Tier 1, actually I want to know if it would be a problem at immigration if I arrive in UK with one way ticket?

PS: If you feel the question is still not relevant, please let me know or please move it to appropriate thread.

One way or return ticket

I hold Tier 1 Visa and am planning my travel. I was wondering if it would be OK to get a one way ticket to UK instead of a return ticket? Any advice.

Cheers,

I have recently moved to a new place (about 3 months back). My passport has my previous address. Do I need to apply for change of address on my passport before I apply for Tier 1 application? Any ideas?
