Maternity leave is allowed. No requirement to submit proof.
I worked part-time for one month will that affect the application?

Re: Unpaid Maternity leave - proof

Presumably you hold a tier 2 dependent visa as your previous posts suggest your husband applied for ILR last year and you have registered your child as British. https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/mn1-and-british-passport-for-child-born-in-uk-t264932.html#p1683717 There is no requ...

Unpaid Maternity leave - proof

Hi, I am planning to apply for my ILR end of March. I was on maternity last year, starting from Dec 2017 - April 2018. Of which 2 months was unpaid (only SMP). When I started work I was on part-time working only 3 days a week for one month, then went back to full time. My question is am I still elig...

UK born child - Register birth with Indian Embassy

Hi, My son was born in the UK and I am looking to register the birth with the High Commision India in London. I filled the application form and in part II of the application, my husband's name is printed. Can I go in person to submit the application? I read somewhere that only the parent's name in p...

Don't believe everything that 'friends' tell you. Many have applied for their children who have not been registered with the Indian authorities and have been successful with MN1.
Thank you

Re: MN1 and British Passport for Child born in UK

Nonsense. Stop listening to 'friends'. A UK born child has an ENTITLEMENT to register and does not need a passport. They were pretty sure about it and said that their application was rejected. Hence I am in a panic mode. If you have not registered the child as Indian with the Indian authorities, th...

Is Child born in UK with British Passport eligible for OCI?

Hi, My son was born in the UK in Dec 2017. Both I and my husband have an Indian passport. We have not registered the child with the Indian Embassy or applied for the Indian passport yet. At the moment the child is stateless. Since the child is born in the UK he is eligible to apply for a British pas...

MN1 and British Passport for Child born in UK

Hi, My son was born in the UK in Dec 2017. Both I and my husband (parents) were on Tier 2 general with Indian passport when he was born. My husband (dad) is eligible for ILR and has applied for it. The child has not got any passport. So currently he is stateless. From reading the other posts I under...

A UK Born child is entitled to register. Birth cert should be sufficient.
Thank you :)

What is the process for applying for the passport? I assume this MN1 is just a registration?

Can we apply for MN1 direct for him?
Yes.
Or do we have to register him with the Indian Embassy first?
No.
In the required documents they have asked for the Child's passport was wondering about that.

Hi, My son was born in UK. We are Indian passport holders with the Tier 2 at the moment. My husband is eligible to for ILR this month and once he gets the ILR I believe that our son is eligible to apply for MN1 for British Citizen. We have not registered our son with the Indian Embassy and he has no...
