Once you have completed the application forms, you will be sent an email with your passport number and a registration number and you can use these to print your application by using the the reprint button at the bottom of the application form.

Hi BSK. Yes you can sign on his behalf; I did the same when I applied for my children's surrender certificates. If you are planning a visit to India I will recommend applying for visa at least 2 weeks in advance. In case of an emergency you can get VISA in a day but believe me it is a nightmare deal...

I was in a similiar situation for my two children. I applied for registration and passport together by post.
