Hi all, I have finally received British citizenship today. I'm Australian and have the Australian passport. I'm meant to be going to Croatia on July 12th, however I feel like I have shot myself in the foot. Do I need to have a British passport now to come back into the UK after the 2weeks away in Cr...

Hi, I'm Australian with indefinite leave to remain in the UK. My partner is here in the UK from the USA on a work sponsored visa. I would like to get her on my ilr as my partner/dependant. Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

Zimba,

Thanks for the response. Are you certain of travelling without the BRP? What if I get pulled up on my way back in without the card?

Ancestry Visa- indefinite leave to remain

Hello, I was granted indefinite leave to remain 2 weeks ago, but I still have not received my biometrics visa card. I paid the full amount for 24 hour turn around. Three days ago I received £800 back into my account from some sort of government services not exactly sure but thinking I have been reim...

Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

A response to above would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know how to record time from clearance to when arriving in the UK, when using the online forms.

Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

Thanks for that. So I don't need to record the 89 days? I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time understanding this. There is no way to record this 89 days on the application online forms.

Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

What about the 89 days traveling through Europe after the ancestry visa started. I have ravelled for 89 days before I first landed in the UK. Does this need to be documented, if so, there is no way of registering this information on the online forms.

Thanks

Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

Also, it is saying I need to provide a NARIC letter that confirms my Australian degree meets or exceeds recognised standard of a bachelor's. This is £125 and in my mind a money grab. Do I really need this letter for an Australian degree English is my only language?

Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

But I did not enter the UK for 89 days after my ancestry visa started. How do I list this time? It doesn't give you that option when listing. Also, I'm, Australian and have spoken English my entire life. I passed the life in UK test but the online application is saying I need to provide my degree. I...

Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

Thanks for the information. I have started the online application and have got to the section about the amount of times I have left the UK over the 5 years. I travelled Europe for 3 months before I arrived to the UK. This was during the first three months of my ancestry visa. Will I need to document...

Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

Perfect thanks. I passed my life in the UK test, found it very easy. I have a bit of an odd issue now. I need to find a new place to live in with my partner, but if my visa is ending in September I feel I'll have a difficult time getting accepted by the real estate agent if they see my 5 year is end...

Re: Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

Thank you for confirming, this is what I thought would be the outcome. The biometrics is taken at the interview? What happens if you don't get an interview before the visa.expires? I have read it can be difficult getting an interview. How early can I start the application online? I'm assuming it can...

Arrived into UK 3 months after start of ancestry visa

Hi, I'm preparing to apply for ILR, I have a query regarding the date I arrived into the UK. My ancestry Visa started on the 28th of September 2015 but I traveled Europe for 3 months and didn't enter the UK till the 26th of December 2015. Do I treat the 28th of September as my end date for applying ...
