Confused about so many visas

Hi, me again!!! Can someone please clarify:- 1. Is the settlement visa the same as a spouse visa? 2. What's the advantage of waiting to be married for 4 years before applying to live in the UK? What visa should my husband apply for? Can we both go to the UK at the same time? What's the process? 3. I...

Seems like a stupid question but, do I need a visa!!!!

Hello, Just had some thoughts, and saw on UK visa website, the form VAF4B - Returning Resident. Question: I have been living in Dubai since July 09, and intend to stay here, with my hubby, for the next few years before we decide to return to the UK. Do I, as a British woman, have to complete this fo...

Spouse visa - UK visit visa refusals

Hello... Looking through posts and sitting here with my husband chatting about various visa topics, we would like a question answered... My husbands 2 visa refusals, are these taken into an account when applying for a spouse visa? Surely if they look into this they will then see my husband has a 10 ...

She'd have to apply for a visitor's visa. Your father could sponsor her yes but looking at what you said it would be better for you to sponsor her. She'd have to show that she will definitely return home, so evidence of a job, family to go back to, house, return ticket bought before leaving her cou...

Sister-in-law to accompany me to UK on family visa?

Hello all, I recently posted concerning my husband's 10 year ban on applying for a UK visa. This is on-going and as of yet still undecided what to do. In the meantime, as I am now accepting that I will have to visit my father, who lives in Wales, for the next 10 years by myself, I am considering get...

Just a thought

Hello again,

Does anyone think an effort to see the Uk Ambassador at one of the embassy's here in UAE would help, or would it be totally pointless?

Thanks :)

Husband's 10 year ban

Many thanks for your replies, really appreciated and positive to know that a spouse's visa wouldn't be affected by this ban. At least we know it's an option if we decide to go to the UK. But I'm sure there's no guarantee my husband would be allowed in the UK then, or do spouses have more chances if ...
