Re: Leave to remain doesn't match BRP expiry

[ Its august. An extra month is added on at the beginning (I think this is 3 months now) to give her time to get here. Even if she gets here before, this isn't affected. This is incorrect. No extra is added to a spouse entry clearance visa. You may be confusing it with the period of the vignette to ...

I was just wondering, how long does the visa entry stamp last for from Pakistan to the UK? I am asking because I know it used to be 1 month, but have they extended it to 3 months now because of the pandemic?
Think it is 3 now, but not coz of covid, just generally is now.

Re: is my residence permit still valid?

Get a second opinion but I believe it's valid until the expiry of the current visa on the basis of visas valid as of brexit aren't immediately affected. 29 march 2022 is the date anyone within the EU needs to have done their UK application by. Yours expires in feb if I've calculated properly? So unt...

Re: Spouse Visa - Financial Evidence (Stocks/Funds)

As much as I would suggest an overall summary of the lowest point the stocks reached would suffice, common sense isn't so common among ECO's so maybe providing everything would be best. If you're submitting these in paper, make a separate file of the relevant documents with reference to it in a cove...

Re: Employer Letter

Had a similar issue, although they eventually budged (more comical because I worked in the civil service at the time, I thought they might know the law!). I was advised (whilst they still refused) that it is a legal obligation, so I simply emailed them so the refusal was in writing (note this has to...

My fiancé arrived today at Heathrow airport and was transferred to a managed quarantine hotel location near to Canary Wharf. His flight was a direct one, with Virgin Atlantic, Islamabad to Heathrow. We tried to have him fly from Islamabad (to Istanbul) to Birmingham (via Frankfurt) but Islamabad ai...

Re: Unmarried partner visa refused - unable to demonstrate co-habitation

For me, the main point to address in the refusal is "you have not visited the UK since 2015 therefore this does not demonstrate cohabitation for at least two years prior to the date of application." I think an any appeal should be focused on covid and travel restrictions (dont know if columbia was ...

Thanks simon Thats how they put it too, but I wasn't sure as its not something I had heard of. Will pass it on 👍 Just for my own info then, if you do apply through this route, would you need to submit anything outside of the normal docs for visa, or would a statement on the cover letter and proof of...

Re: relationship proof

Not sure if its changed, but I applied for mine last jan/feb and was granted within 2-3 weeks. I didn't give whatsapp chat despite plenty of people saying I needed to, as I was told they aren't an independent source of proving a subsisting relationship. They can be used to backup your case if you ap...

Spouse visa extension with child but no job

Hi all, hope you're well I've been asked to try and find some info about a friend of a friend's case. Essentially, they're employed now, but won't be by the time their visa is due for renewal. This isn't due to covid etc, they were told they would be employed on a fixed term contract and its not loo...

Re: NI application help

Then why are you putting UK as country of NATIONALITY?? It is the person applying for NI nationality/citizenship. The applicants details have already been entered. As per the OP, these details are for a family member. If I can get through to the helpline, I'll also try and clarify with them. Thanks.

NI application help

Hi Has anyone tried filling in the online form for an NI number? Having some real problems and the local centre's are closed/not allowing face-to-face contact, so would mean a delay. The form asks for the "country of nationality" for family member. When I put in "United Kingdom" (and all variants of...

Re: Spouse visa extension financial requirements

Thanks CR001.

I'd just been advised that the extension criteria isn't the same as for the initial visa (the advice wasn't received on this board), but that's cleared up now.

I'll be mindful of starting any new topics related to existing queries, thanks.

Spouse visa extension financial requirements

Hi all, hope you're well Would someone be able to link me to the page with the official information re: applying for a spouse visa extension financial requirement? That was for me in a few months (as mentioned in that thread). This is for a friend in 18 months who wanted advice as it'll help him decide whether to take the job or not.

Sponsor has employment for contract period

Hi all, hope you're well Just a quick question. A friend of mine will be making an application to extend his wifes visa in 18 months. He has just started a job which will last for 24 months (no potential for extension). It meets all the financial requirements etc. Given this will be confirmed in the...

Spouse visa extension question

Hi all, hope everything is well Just a quick (paranoid) question. I'm soon scheduled to apply for the extension of my wife's visa (she arrived in the uk on a standard spouse visa for 2.5 years). Re: Unable to get employer's letter

It's odd that they're quoting GDPR, as I would have suggested GDPR works in your favour. If you google it, one of the first results is a discussion on here about how GDPR helps to now get an employer letter. My inclination is they are trying to suggest they don't want other case workers (the ECO han...
