Re: Visa rejected due to rule 320 (3)

I had applied under the Tier-2 ICT category. I have got a refusal for entry clearance. The only reason for refusal is stated as "You have failed to produce a valid national passport or other document satisfactorily establishing your identity and nationality (Paragraph 320(3) HC 395 as amended)" I h...

Tier 4 Dependant to Tier 2

Hi guys,

The Tier 2 guidance notes are quite vague on this topic as they say that you can change to a Tier 2 Visa in country on "Any Tier 1 or Tier 2 status". However, if a person is a dependant on a Tier 4 visa does this still apply?

Thanks,

You can work for 20 hours a week extra for a different employer as long as the work is of the same grade and technical level as the work you have been mainly employed to do by your primary employer.

So it's not all bad :)

If you think abnout it carefully, self-employment on a Tier 2 visa doesn't make any sense at all.

Simply, no you cannot be self employed on an employer sponsored visa.

The processing times for Pakistan are averging about 6 - 8 weeks. The most that you could end up waiting is 120 days +. After 14 weeks you can call the embassy and they are obliged to give you an update on the processing of the Visa. Ergo: Nothing to panic about, just make a few more cups of tea and...

Vanadil - that's always been the case (unless you go in person and pay the permium, and even then you wait weeks for an appointment). We did some recently and they took about 2-3 weeks after biometrics. It hasn't always been the case. Used to come back in 3 - 4 weeks in total, not 2 months. From su...

I am also waiting for a Tier 2 application to be returned after the Biometrics were taken on Friday 19th Feb 2010.

Even taking into consideration the 2 day strike, this new system is usless! It takes longer to get a visa inside the UK than it does from any consulate around the world!

Vanadil, as I understand it, every visa the UK issues, either abroad or in the UK, is in two places ..... in the passport as a sticker, and also in the UKBA computer system. That is how the IO at the UK port of entry knows if the visa is a total fake, or is actually real. Accordingly I just assumed...

UKBAbble, I'll take your word for that, but I am simply appalled! Sheer incompetence! It would be an awfully large system to implement. The introduction of chipped passports is no doubt a step towards this but the amount of information stored would be vast! You would have to document millions of in...

Hi, I am on HSMP visa and my wife has got a dependant visa. She took my child to India and I am trying to call her but she is not picking up. I am suspecting that she has come back in UK, is there any way I can find out? My daughter is still in India as I can hear her voice when I call my wife's pa...

hmm in which case that may be a very odd technicality. This is something that you will need to discuss with the housing company. Only they will have access to the information whether or not it is included.

No. The companies and the banks involved with such schemes are usally private and not affliated with the goverment and public funds. However, I would check with your Landlord / bank to confirm and get some peace of mind. :) Update: Here's thier companies house page confirming they are a private comp...
