Re: Spouse of Irish National Stamp 4 Application - Help!

I think they have sped up a bit.
I got my stamp 4 letter last week and received it after 13 months. Another person I have been speaking with on here received their letter the same time as me and was waiting 10 months.

Re: Urgent help!!

We had an appointment booked in advance since we figured we would have the letter by now.
We had no issue at all. We brought our passports, marriage certificate and our letter. Left with the stamp 4 in his passport after a little over 2 hours of waiting. They post the card in the mail now.

Re: Urgent help!!

Hi again,

I’m just curious - on your letter did it say you qualify for a stamp 4 for 12 months or 36 months?

Ours said 12 months but that we could renew next year.

Re: Spouse of Irish National Stamp 4 Application - Help!

You will get a stamp 4 which means you can live and work in Ireland. Since you have the visa D all you need to do is book your appointment at GNIB and bring the required documentation as stated on the INIS website. Make sure to book your appointment ASAP as it takes usually 6 weeks until your appoin...

@Subziro - actually if I could ask a favour - would you mind private messaging the person who sent you your letter please? I’m curious to see if it is the same as mine

Re: Urgent help!!

It said on our application that they were also finalising our application so I think it should be pretty soon. I’ll drop a post here when I get the letter. Could you please do the same? :-)

Have you contacted a solicitor about this?
Are they still currently holding you and your spouse’s passports?

Re: Urgent help!!

Hi,

I’ve recently got a letter stating the same.
Given that we have to submit our original passports I’d imagine we will only have to wait a few weeks for a reply.

Re: Help - Queries on stamp 4 original documentation

Hi again, So we submitted all our documentation including our passports back to INIS by registered post. Does anyone know roughly how long it will take for INIS to respond? We have an appointment booked for the first week in August at GNIB but perhaps I should cancel it if that is far too optimistic?

Help - Queries on stamp 4 original documentation

Hi all, My husband and I are currently applying for his stamp 4 on the basis of marriage to an Irish national. We applied last year and got a letter recently to resubmit all original documentation such as passports, birth certificates etc. My question is this - for P60s and Payslips - is it okay to ...

Please let us know if you hear anything We contacted our TD last Tuesday. We have currently been waiting on our application for 12.5 months. I’ll post what I he...

Hi everyone,

I got in touch with my local TD to ask for an update from INIS on my application. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back from them?

Thanks

Re: Decision from INIS for Irish spouse more than 6 months

I'm at 13.5 months now, they said six months when I applied also, I'e been married for 13 years and living in Ireland 25 years this month, but then again someone else (on the 2018 timeline thread) said they applied late 2018 and got thru for the June ceremony, so /shrug I think you’ve gotten mixed ...

Re: Decision from INIS for Irish spouse more than 6 months

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone else gotten updates on their applications?

I have gotten in touch with my local TD and will be requesting an update on my application.
Hopefully they are a good bit further along than February 2018 now.

Re: Decision from INIS for Irish spouse more than 6 months

Hi Guys, Myself and my wife are in the same boat. I am an Irish citizen and She is a non Eu citizen. We made the same application in November 2018 and have also only received the acknowledgement letter. I did however request that one of the local TD's follow up on the application. They didn't give ...

Re: Decision from INIS for Irish spouse more than 6 months

Yeah I’ve heard something similar - I don’t think a solicitor has the power to make the process go by any faster. I’m nearly waiting 11 months so hopefully we get a letter any day now....

Re: Decision from INIS for Irish spouse more than 6 months

Nothing new on my end either - I tried to get in contact with INIS but they don’t say what month of applications they are currently processing..

Did you end up speaking with a solicitor?
