EEA2/EEA4 - Benefits

Hi,
Does anyone know if receiving child benefit and child tax credit can have adverse effects on my EEA2 and EEA4 application?

I the non-EEA national am full-time employed and my partner (EEA national) is a student.

FTT Hearing

Hi there,
I was wondering if someone could share their knowledge or experience about how a FTT hearing (for a EEA2 - family member residence card) is like.
Perhaps any tips I should be aware of.

Thanks in advance.

JSA over 6 months?

Since when have rules for jobseekers changed? In regards to anything over the first 6 months whilst jobseeking can not be accepted as exercising treaty rights. Does this effect someone who is going to apply for PR now and had been a Jobseeker in 2012 and 2013 after having worked for 11 months before...

Re: EEA, treaty rights?

Either parent can sponsor you if they are a qualified person and you meet the requirements. That's what I'm confused about - can my mother who hasn't herself been exercising treaty rghts due to taking care of younger child be my sponsor? Keeping in mind that my father has been exercising treaty rig...

What is your mother's nationality?

Does she have PR?

Only an EU citizen (but not British) can 'sponsor' you.
Both my mother and father are German and nope neither of them has PR at the moment.

EEA, treaty rights?

Hi there,
Can my mother be my sponsor for my PR application, when she herself does not have treaty rights but derives (if that’s the right word) her treaty rights from her husband (my father)?
Thanks

QUESTIONS- PR Application

Hi there, I have a few questions in relation to PR application which might be obvious but really I just want to be sure. • How soon after application submission can I request back my sponsor’s or my identification document? In my case my sponsor is going abroad soon and therefore I thought to mentio...

Re: PR Card Application

Hello, So far there haven't been any changes to the requirement to have CSI if self-sufficient or a student. After the 1st of February 2017, you must use the assigned Home office form (i.e EEA (PR)) etc. There is no harm in applying to prove you have acquired Permanent Residency although there is n...

PR Card Application

Hi there, I read something on “the guardian” it was titled: “Scrap insurance rule for stay-at-home parents from EU, says Tory MP “ This was written sometime in December 2016 however I was wondering if this could be the case and we would not need to proof CSI? Also I read somewhere that after 1st Feb...

Re: PR-Card Application - Be a Descendant and Dependent

One sponsor at a time. If sponsored by brother yes, you are (potentially) his EFM. You need to prove ids, relationship, dependency etc etc. However you cannot count time sponsored as an EFM towards acquisition of PR if you do not hold a valid EFM RC naming such brother as your sponsor. Do you curre...

Re: PR-Card Application - Be a Descendant and Dependent

Thank you very much for your response. I had a look into both forms, EEA4 and the current PR-Card application, and I'm not sure which one to use EEA4 form seems so much easier though. However more confusing is whether I can have two sponsors and also if I can only be financially dependent on my pare...

Re: PR-Card Application - Be a Descendant and Dependent

Thank you for your help.

Also If I was to use study as a reason for financial
dependency however didn't have CSI at that time would it be better to not mention it or would proof of CSI not be required?

Re: PR-Card Application - Be a Descendant and Dependent

Cohabitation is not necessary. What do you mean? Two separate 5 years periods? Once you have acquired PR (after 5 years) there is no need for treaty rights anymore due to the settled status. You can be financially dependent on a sponsor if you have such a sponsor who is settled or a qualified perso...

Hi,
When applying for a residence card in regards to the question about the sponsors finances while being a student is it beneficial to put down that one is in receipt of grants or not?

Re: Visa backdated?

A residence card isn't a visa. Why have you been refused and why do you think it is wrong? I must admit that I forgot to submit a college letter later on as at the time we applied college had just started and I only had a induction week letter which I submitted with the application and totally forg...

Re: Permanent Residence Card

As the Union citizen you have to exercise treaty rights not hubby. Hubby's activity in UK is immaterial in this context. CSI is mandatory for a student qualified person and any dependents. Lack of CSI (and no alternative) will have reset your PR clock to zero. You cannot sponsor anyone if being spo...
