Domestic Violence

Hi, I am in UK on a spouse visa and my husband regularly beats me. I want to leave him for a few months, so he realizes that he is wrong. But I don't want to risk losing my dependent spouse visa. I know there is a Domestic Violence ILR route, but I don't want to get him arrested, because I think we ...

Sham marriage

Hi,

I'm sick of all these visa requirements, and I want to do a sham marriage with an EU citizen. Does anyone know any agencies which can help me? How can I go on about it? Thanks

Notice period

My PSW is expiring soon. Do I need to give my employer a notice period, or do they have to give me one? My employer isnt a licensed sponsor.

Tier 1 PSW to Tier 2

Can anyone share their experiences of switching from Tier 1 PSW to Tier 2? How tough was it? How rare is it for companies to sponsor Tier 2 after PSW?

Switch from Tier 1 PSW to Tier 2

Hi,

I'm on a Tier 1 PSW Visa and wanted to know how tough it is for those on PSW to get Tier 2 if they want to stay in their jobs and their employers have the sponsorship license?

Are companies typically willing to sponsor, as there's no RLMT or are they still fussy?

Thanks!

Not being invited to interviews

Hi,

Is it legal for companies to not interview Tier 2 student visa candidates because they don't want to process their visas?
thanks

PSW start date

When does the PSW Visa normally start? Is it on the date you do the biometrics or when the card is printed? Thanks

This happened to me too. My lawyer suggested that I ask for my documents to be returned and re-submit the application with a covering letter. That's what I did, without adding anything extra.

Hi Pumnoo,

How long ago was this? Didn't you have to update your bank statements?

Thanks!

But even if you keep a copy of your app, you still have to re-apply...Difficult to argue with them..

I've heard that if they don't deduct fees, that usually means your visa is going to get rejected..The UKBA just doesn't reply.. This is frustrating!

I called the UKBA and made an enquiry on why they haven't deducted my fees. I suggest you do the same before your visa expires.

Has your fees been deducted yet? If our visa expiresby the time we hear from them, can we reapply from the UK explaining our situation?

But my visa is expiring at the end of this month. So that means I'll have to go abroad and apply. This is frustrating. I just wish they would tell me whether they are considering my application or not.
