Re: Refused Permanent Residence card, EEA national student,

Hi alexxy, It's been really interesting reading about your case and congrats on obtaining your permanent residency card! I'm also a Romanian national who has been in the UK for 5 and a half years. I was wondering whether you can clarify a bit about the arguements you have included in your applicati...

PR granted after 2nd application, but appeal still pending

Hi everyone ! I'm back on this forum this time with another issue ! So, after having been refused PR, I've appealed to the First Tier Immigration Tribunal and finally got an oral hearing scheduled for 5th of May 2017. Because of the incredibly long wait for a hearing date I had also, in the meantime...

Re: EEA PR and Comprehensive Sickness Insurance - help!

Hello I first entered the UK in 2008 as a Romanian citizen and since then I have been in full time education. In December 2011 I obtained a Yellow card registration certificate which has allowed me to work alongside my studies. Since January 2012 I until June 2015 I worked part time - between 5 and...

Re: EEA Permanent Residence Application

I suggest you stop panicking, read the application requirements carefully, re-apply for permanent residence or appeal the refusal decision if you need to. If you don't understand the whole application process and everything looks too complicated, pay a solicitor or a company to help you make a succe...

Re: Permanent Residence Card Processing Time 2016

Hi guys It has been 3 month since i have applied and no news yet. Have anybody received their PR who applied AUG 2016? Hi ! I believe the waiting times are now about 6 months, so it is still too early to find out. You can contact them after 6 months if there is still no response. My friend applied ...

Re: EEA4 Refused For inexplicably

Yellow registration certificate is in fact your wife's work permit ! Any work that has been done prior to that is considered illegal because only in 2013 did she acquire the working permit. I do not believe that UKVI has made a mistake in your case. Can someone correct me if I am wrong?

Hi justinsanero, I suggest you reapply by sending all documents required, clearly organised, labeled, include cover letter if needed. I was refused Permanent Residence, have appealed since 24th January 2016 and haven't heard anything back yet. In the meantime I have re-applied for PR but it would pr...

Re: Refused Permanent Residence card, EEA national student,

Hi ! So I've appealed on the 24th of January 2016 and have not heard anything since. I have phoned them a few months ago and they said it would be at least another several months. In the meantime, I have re-applied for Permanent Residence at the end of July, got an email from them after about a mont...

Re: EEA(PR)-Appeal Timeline(ONLY this topic)

Hi all ! I have submitted an appeal to the First Tier Immigration Tribunal on 24/01/2016 and I have heard nothing back yet. Home Office refused to grant me PR because of lack of CSI (which I didn't need as I was exempt from having it). I phoned the Tribunal some time ago to inquire about the timelin...

Re: EU National Applying for UK Permanent Residence

My advice on this: For any period of time in the last 5 years you need to state under what basis you apply, say from 2011-2012 student, 2012- 2013 self-sufficient if that was the case etc Now, you are only exempt from providing evidence of CSI if you obtained a registration certificate issued to you...

Re: No EHIC/insurance

I will tell you why this CSI requirement was introduced. They wanted to make it harder for any EEA immigrants (students or self-sufficient persons) to get a qualifying period, also they wanted them to spend huge amounts of money monthly on this private insurance thing so that they 'don't become a bu...

Re: When did Yellow Registration Certificate expire?

If you want to apply for Permanent Residence Card using your yellow card, it really doesn't matter when or whether it expires. You only use the date you acquired it !

Re: Refused Permanent Residence card, EEA national student,

There is no UKBA, it was abolished in 2013. Appeals can take months (and months) or a year or so. Yes, I meant UKBA - Home Office / UK Visas and Immigration, whatever ... it's all the same thing. I see that now, but I didn't know at the time of the appeal that it would take so long, plus I didn't t...

I have applied for a Permanent Residence card in November 2015 and my application has been refused because during Oct 2009 - June 2013 period when I was a student, I did not have CSI - Comprehensive Sickness I...
