Re: query on the referee eligability

It is now all sorted. There is another confusing question in the naturilisation application, please see below: Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad? I have lived & worked in the UK from 2017 until now and have made 4 General Tier 2 and 1 ILR applications. Do I h...

Re: query on the referee eligability

Thank you. Yes, I will contact my previous colleagues and they should be fine, although it might take some time.

Another quick question: can my brother's spouse be a referee? We have the same surname after their marriage, does she qualify for a referee or she is a relative?

Cheers

query on the referee eligability

Hi, I am now applying to become a UK citizen and looking at the referee requirements. One of the requirements is: "...know or have known the applicant personally for more than 3 years". Does that mean they don't have to know me more than 3 years? I moved to a new place and the people I want to ask f...

Re: ILR 5 year work & living proof

Thank you. I have 2 other queries: 1- I told my current employer that I will be applying for ILR. And hence they told me that they will not need to generate a COS for a visa extension which is imminent. The HR-immigration told me that I need to count my absences. What does that absence mean? Are the...

Tier 2 - essential travel while waiting for decision

Hello I applied for my General Tier 2 extension with a UK university sponsor on 26 August 2020. I was eligible for providing biometrics by the UKVCAS app through my phone. I am still waiting for a decision. My current BRP is valid until 9 October 2020. I had to travel to Istanbul to attend a hearing...

Re: General Tier 2 - changes in the application form

Just to add a note that I received a rejection and am told to submit a new application by UKVI. They told me that the fee I paid will be refunded and I need to do the application correctly.

So everything seems to be in order.

Re: General Tier 2 - changes in the application form

I called the UK Visa call center and they suggested that I should write a cover letter to my application and let them know. They also said that the UKV will contact me for extra charges. Simply do what they have suggested and upload with your supporting documents before your biometric appointment. ...

Re: General Tier 2 - changes in the application form

So are you not a healthcare worker as defined on the UKVI list or are you?? If you are not, why did you say yes to the question?? No, I am not a healthcare worker! I made a mistake! That is why I need to change or do something about it. And also, in the payment confirmation email they say: "Your ap...

Re: Extremely Urgent General Tier 2 question

Moreover, the only reason I could not apply for an extension before my contract expired on 17.01.2020 was because the University's HR was slow to respond regarding the matter. I really do not know how to proceed.
