It should have said children under 18, not 1 ! silly smilie!!

Anyway, in such circumstances, does it simply come down to sole responsibility, or the fact that these kids have a father who is a british citizen have any favourable bearing ?

children from 1st marriage allowed to come to uk?

Is it possible for somebody to apply for his children (under 18 ) from his first marriage to come to the UK?

Assuming the first wife will stay abroad, and the second wife being in the uk.

What would the procedure be ?

spouse overstayer

Hi all

Im asking this question on behalf of a friend :

My spouse came to the uk in 2006. We have two children.

My spouse was refused ILR in 2008 as she had not passed the english requirement. She wasnt given flr either. She has no form of leave.

Now we want to apply for her ILR, what do we do ?

coa for visitor ?

Is it possible for a visitor to apply for a coa successfully ?

I understand the home office says an applicant must have leave for over 6 months, but it also says that it would consider an application from those without such leave.

So can a family visitor here for 5 months apply for the coa ?

POLL :ANYONE HAD A SUCCESSFUL REVIEW/RECONSIDERATION ?

I am interested to know if people will share experiences where they have been refused entry clearance and when they have submitted appeal with supporting evidence, then that decision has been reversed, thus subsequently giving them entry clearance. Where are you based?

in theory the amount refers to what the law says you need to live on - as far as basic needs go- however, in reality, and in these times of economic hardship, it means more.
After bills you need to show that you have a disposable income of £94 - £150 a week
