Re: Border agency error - led to rejection of application

Mabuhay! Thanks for the reply! I am certain that it was all submitted correctly, when the pack was returned they apologised for the error that they made, and that is why they are trying to issue a refund. The only conclusion that I can come to is that they got muddled up because the house number is ...

Border agency error - led to rejection of application

Hi all, I have had wonderful news on this forum, enabling my wife to effortlessly enter the UK. I am sure some of you may recall the major trauma back in 2009/2010!! Anyway, my non-EU wife's 5 year residence card expired on 3 September, and we had applied for a new one on 1 September (we couldn't ap...

Five years on!

Hi everyone! It is great to see so many of the old faces on here, still giving amazing advice :) I have no doubt lots will remember the trauma we went through using Surinder Singh with a pregnant wife going to Bulgaria! (drama queens!). The five years have been incredibly kind to us, our beautiful d...

Happy Easter!

Hi all, I thought I would pop my head in and wish everyone a happy easter! It has been such a long time since I have been back here. The old hands will remember my drama! But it all worked out fantastically well in the end! If anyone here still remembers us, our little girl starts school this Septem...

One year and one week!

Hi Everyone, I sincerely hope that you are all well. I am sure you will all remember our trials and tribulations of getting to the UK. I just wanted to update the board that my wife was granted her 5 year residence card this week. It was one year and one week since we flew out of The Philippines. I ...

Interesting Document?

Since I am about to apply for her EEA2 I did a bit of googling and found this document: http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/ecis/chapter5.pdf?view=Binary I haven't seen it here and thought I would post it as it does contain some decent information, certainly helped me...

Thanks a lot (once again I might add!!) for the help. I contacted the college again and met up with them yesterday. They showed me the rulebook which they admitted that they didn't understand. In the end we got her booked onto the course though :) I tried to book an appointment at Croydon for the re...

Rights of non-EU spouses in the UK?

Hi there, A few of you might remember us and how we managed to get back to the UK via Bulgaria in time for our daughter to be born and were very successful with the fantastic help from these boards! Anyway, with the baby doing fine my wife (Filipina) found a few simple courses at the local college t...

Just thought I would give a quick update. My wife gave birth to our baby girl on Wednesday, and both are doing great. Getting registered at the doctors was easy, we just needed to open a bank account in her name for proof of residency. We are still awaiting her National Insurance Number, but think t...

Thank you very much Vinny. My sister phoned up the doctors surgery which we will be using (the same as my mum). We were told that Ann will need a bank statement or utility bill as proof of address. If that is the case it could take some time to get registered. Any opinions on this? Thank you again i...

Greetings again to you Obie :) I will never cease to be amazed at how you find the information that you do! Very interesting! This is the reason my initial post was so detailed, every case is different and the fact I have been a resident here before returning must have helped immensely. Also the pre...

Thank you very much indeed!

I know that my initial post here was lengthy, but I have taken so much out of this forum that I wanted to put as much back as I possibly could do and do it as detailed as possible.

All the best!

Thank you both very much indeed! We are thrilled to bits as I am sure you can imagine! It certainly was worth all the sleepless nights benifa! It is interesting finding out why it is called a 4d scan, thanks a lot for that! We didn't get a video unfortunately because we didn't realise we had to ask ...

We Got It!!!

Hi all, I guess a lot of you know about my case, I lived in Bulgaria then The Philippines, got married and had the UK visa for my wife denied. With the help of these boards we managed to get to Bulgaria to use the EU route to try and get home because my wife is pregnant. I really think that our case...

Win, Win or Win!!!

Today we finally collected the residence card for my wife from the Bulgarian Immigration Department! I had contacted many people for help, but it was an emai...

Thanks Benifa!

The online one won't let me, as you cannot proceed further if something is not filled in. Do you think we would be better going to the embassy and getting the application form and filling it in?

Stupid question I know!

We are currently applying for the family permit for Ann online and I don't know how long to put that we are staying in the UK for. Any advice? We have no plans of leaving once we are there but I cannot put 'indefinitely' as it wants a date!

Yes I ha...

What a fantastic post Benifa! Thank you so much! It is a huge relief that I wasn't living here illegally as I had previously thought. I still have my rental agreement from the time I spent here. I had come here to start a business with a friend, but it never went anywhere. I realise now that the acc...
