Re: AN Form photos in my British Passport?

I applied using JCAP. I submitted two very nice pics with my passport application, but... they used the one from the biometrics. Which wasn’t too bad tbh.

Re: No response from HO

Thank you. It was the same case with me: in timeline I saw someone who applied on the same day as I did, same route, simple case like mine and got their decision like in 20 or so days. You can imaging how I felt for the next almost 50 days. This is frustrating, but little you can do. I also do not ...

Present in the UK 3 years ago - Edge case

The AN application guideline states the following: You must also check that you were physically present in the UK 5 years (3 years if you are married to or in civil partnership with a British citizen) before the date that the application will be received by the Home Office or other receiving authori...

Trapped in the UK?

Hi, All I am married to a BC and I will be eligible for ILR in a couple of months. My plan is to apply for citizenship right after getting the ILR. My question to you is the following: will be "trapped" in the UK right after submitting my application for naturalisation and until the moment I receive...

Thanks for your help, guys. I was granted my FLR(M) this morning at the Glasgow PEO. For the records, I had originally come to the UK to do my PhD, so my original visa was a tier 4 general student. I've already submitted my PhD thesis and I am currently waiting for my viva. Although the FLR(M) requi...

PEO FLR(M): your experiences

Hi! I'm about to switch from tier 4 general to flr(m) and I'd like some advise re: the whole process. I've booked an appointment at my local PEO for the 27th. My British partner will be coming with me. We've been in a genuine relationship for almost 3 years and have lived together for more than 2 ye...

FLR(M) payment details section

Hello! I have booked and paid for a PEO appointment for FLR(M). The application fee has already been taken from my debit card. The FLR(M) form has a payment details section which requests certain information about my debit card. Since I've already paid for the appointment, do I still have to complet...

Switching from Tier 1 (PSW) to Tier 4. End of the road?

I have been wondering, just out of curiosity... I see in the forums people who switch from Tier 1 (PSW) to Tier 4. Given that they won't be able to apply for PSW once they complete their studies, and that a part time job they could have while on Tier 4 is not likely to suffice for them to switch int...

Re: Study visa applicant with British Partner help

Hi, Armando I am no expert, but I wonder why she has to mention that she has a British boyfriend. Besides, it is completely legal for a student to get married to a British citizen and stay here (to the best of my knowledge), so you shouldn't be concerned about what would happen in the future. As a p...

Re: Sponsorship

Hey, I hope this helps. I was in the same situation some time back. I did put 0.00 in the section of remaining fees. Although the amount of the scholarship covered the necessary funds for me to get the points, I did attach my bank statements anyway. I think it does not hurt to demonstrate that you h...

I did not know you could apply for PSW after UNDERGRAD studies. I thought it had been changed so only Masters/PhD degrees would get the points. Am I wrong?

Switching from Tier 4 straight into Tier 1 (General)??

Hello, I just got to the UK a couple days ago, and I am not really sure if I will want to stay here at the end of my programme, so I am asking the following questions just out of curiosity. During an induction section at my University, we were told that at the end of our programmes we could apply fo...

Re: What Possible Questions at Airport??

Hello, I just went through this two days ago. I was surprised how easy the process was. The officer only asked if my school was OK with me starting late and the name of my university. He did not ask for any proof or document except for my passport. I thought he did so because of my travel history, a...

Re: Did you get your visa letter back?

Hi, No worries, College and course details are mentioned in your Visa, so if you have copy of Visa Letter then you can show it on arrival if needed, also you can tell immigration officer that they didn't give back my visa letter, and in many cases I heard that they didn't give back Visa Letter. Did you get your visa letter back?

I have just received my Tier 4 visa, but the BHC did not return my visa letter with my passport. I am concerned because the copy I have states that I must keep the letter and bring it with me to the UK. Would it be enough for me to present this copy, if I am asked to produce the visa letter upon arr...
