Any Successful Case?

It has been about a six months since introduction of innovator route. I was thinking at the time of announcement that this route will be extremely difficult and impractical to use. Now, I can see that most posts in this topics are just simple and basic questions and total number of posts is barely 4...

Re: Medical Condition

Almost all application forms definitely ask about ones health, immigration history, crime record (if any). Wherever there is a question about health then it must be declared too which wont be the alone reason of refusal. As far as I know there is no question regarding the health conditions in the U...

Also, the source of the cash saving is a gift from a relative. Does the relative also need to sign the part 3?

Verification Form New Service

Hi, I have a question about verification form (which is in 3 parts) in the new service (UKVCAS) for Spouse visa extension (FLR(M)) The part 3 of the form is related for a third party who offers financial support. Then, if an applicant is relying on cash savings of their spouse, should the spouse sig...

Arranged Marriage

Hi, I am a bit confused about the arranged marriage and the relevant question on the application form. It is the scenario: Someone was introduced to his partner through a family member (say his brother as his brother thought they would be a suitable couple), they date for months, talk and plan and d...

Appointment for FLR(M)

Hi, Is there any issue if the booked appointment in PSC is more than 45 days (about 50 calendar days) from the date the application fee was paid? An appointment was booked within 42 days but later was rescheduled. I am not sure if this 45 days is working days or calendar days and if it applies to al...

Cat A or F

Hi my husband submitted the application last week and we are waiting for the decision. I just found out that he should have applied for Category F (I am an employee in a specific type of the company) but wrongly we considered him as an ordinary employee and submitted the relevant evidence. Now, what...

Sole Trader Personal Bank Account

Hi, According to the rules one of the documents required to meet financial requirements of the Appendix FM as a sole trader is: "personal bank statements for the same 12-month period as the tax return(s) showing that the income from self-employment has been paid into an account in the name of the pe...

Wrong Date of Birth

Hi, one of my friend is facing a big issue for her husband's spouse visa application. She became a UK citizen over 35 years ago and as she immigrated from a non-Christian country, the date of birth on her non-UK passport was not in Georgian calendar. Thus, when they converted it they made a mistake ...

Thank you very much,
1-no one owned the place as it is not existed! He is going to pay a franchise fee and then establish the business as a franchise. As I understand, it is allowed as there is no previous business.
2-thank you for your clarification

Re: Some Question

Thank you. I am still a bit confused: 1-he is not going to buy an existing branch of franchise. He is going to open a new branch and so pay a franchise fee to the franchisor company. So he is not going to pay any individual but just a franchise fee to a company. I assume it should be accepted. He wi...

Re: Some Question

1) I checked the guidance as you said and it seems that the franchise is accepted: A26. Businesses that are set up as franchises can be accepted for the award of points. You will either be self-employed or employed, depending on how you decide to structure the franchise business and should provide t...

Some Question

Hi, I have some questions about the Tier 1 E: 1-is a business plan for a branch of a franchise could be accepted? 2-is it possible that someone in this route has established a couple of businesses in the UK during the initial period of grant? If yes, as one of the requirements for the extension is t...

Re: English Language Requirement for FLR(M)

Just a quick question, the HO announced in Jan 2016 that they want to increase the English level required however nothing has been officially announced since then and still all guidances, forms and rules need IELTS at A1 level. So, I want to make sure that still the required level is A1? As there ar...

Re: Interpreter for Interview

You are correct it is in the guidance. Not sure the logic of it but that is not the only illogical UKVI issue. May I ask what business your friend is starting? I ask because it is a bit of a catch 22 situation. She would have to pass the subjective 'genuine entrepreneurs test' and if she cannot con...

Re: Interpreter for Interview

You are wrong. It is explicitly allowed on the guidance: "Applicants must have English language ability to B1 level. However, this level is not high enough to assume they are fluent in English. You must provide an interpreter if the applicant wants or needs one." Level B1 measn IELTS with score of 4...

Interpreter for Interview

Hi, One of my friends applied for Tier 1 E. She was asked to attend an interview. According to the guidance an interpreter should be provided if the application requests and she asked for it explicitly on the application form. But the Embassy refused to provide an interpreter and said that the inter...

Re: Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hi, I've read the other posts and I am a bit confused. I know that my questions may seem silly: -Do we have to submit the original BRP? -what is Leave to Remain Letter (I was a refugee and now I have ILR)? -what is the immigration status document? As I have ILR, do I have to have such thing? Thank y...

Tier 1 ILR and FLR(M)

I have a quick question: is dependent of a Tier 1 General who is on Tier 1 Dependent visa able to apply for FLR(M) on the same day that the main application is applying for ILR? They want to apply in person. As FLR(M) is for the spouse of a settled person in the UK I worry that the dependent should ...
