Re: British Citizenship Application

Thank you for your replies.

I understood my wife needs to evidence she has been in the UK for 5 years, and thought that would be done with correspondence.

British Citizenship Application

My wife has obtained her ILR (M) following 5 years in the UK as married to a British Citizen. Can she apply for British Citizenship straightaway or does she need to wait 1 year? Also for the application other than her passport showing first entry to UK 5 years ago, is there any correspondence requir...

Re: ILR or extension?

Hi guys, I have 2 questions. 1. My wife's going to be in the UK for 5 years now in October, 2022. However her BRP card expires in June 2023. Can we apply for ILR in October 2022? Or if we want to, can we apply for the ILR say January 2023 hypothetically? How does this work. If your wife is on the 5...

Re: SET(M) Passport copy pages

Thank you Zimba for your reply - I see what you mean as my British passport has biometric page and on the next observations page, so both show on a scan/copy. My wife’s passport is Pakistani and biometric page is on page 1, and 2 pages on 4/5 for observations - so not possible to show these pages to...

Re: SET(M) Questions about to apply - Dual national missing one passport

I submitted the online application for my wife’s ILR(M) under Super Priority Service and am in the process of uploading documents to the Sopra Steria website prior to the Biometrics Appointment. Today we have received an email from no-reply@mail.ukvcas.co.uk as below. My question is what do they mea...

Re: ILR - Letter from previous employer?

I believe you only need a letter from the current employer as you have been with them since 2019 ie longer than 6/12 months.

Your current employer needs to provide the letter along with last 6 months payslips and bank statements.

I completed my wife’s ILR(M) application on Sunday and there only option shown as standard. I checked again on Monday but no change. However on Tuesday at 2:30am it also showed Super Priority Service. I wanted to double check the application form so didn’t book then. At 10:00am on the same Tuesday i...

Re: ILR Queries - help please

3. Is it mandatory for employer to state annual leave allowance? The checklist from UKVI doesn’t ask for it. But I see few folks on the forum adding this to the letter. As I stated, I’d like to not cause a change to my employer’s draft letter that’s in signature process if this info is not needed. ...

Re: SET(M)- Employment Letter

Nice win with the priority service! Would you mind advising how many days you tried to get the priority service and on what times of day? The application date dictates how old the documents can be. So if your application date is 28 June 2021, the last payslip/bank statement cannot be older than 1 Ju...

SET(M) Correspondence Upload

When uploading the correspondence to evidence my spouse and I live together, do we need to include the first page only showing names/address or also subsequent pages eg some bills have 4-5 pages.

I hope someone can clarify.

The P60’s ONLY look at the income that is taxable.
That is not correct.

P60 details all gross income from an employment during the tax year.

It also lists the total amount of tax paid during that same period, taking into account the tax free allowance of around £12k.

This looks to be a General Training exam result. Some members have reported visa refusal because they took General Training instead of the list of exams (at the required test centres) per https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/799526/Approved_...

Re: Spouse visa certified translated marriage certificate typo

You don’t need those actual stamps on the translation. The translation is of the typed/written words and not the stamps. For example if you went to a UK solicitor, they would use their own stamp on the translation. I’m not sure if you have access to UKVCAS though on an entry visa? Although here is s...
