Provisional Drivers Licence Non UK/EEA National

Hi
"6 months leave to remain"
(and a passport)
on your visa will allow you to apply for a provisional licence

According to DVLA, just phoned them.

Ofc this info is not on the website at least that I could find.

Hi When a visa application decision is still pending after the 60 working day target what is the official process to chase? Does the government have any obligation to complete the process or are those timelines literally just targets (rather moveable goalposts)? I can't see any info can anyone advis...

Re: Seeking Definition "Propsective Accommodation"

Hi Casa Sorry if I have not made myself clear. That is not the issue, I have those in place with the following point to be considered. What I will do is have my mother provide accommodation which meets the requirement. I will not and do not live at that address. It is accepted that unmarried partner...

Re: Seeking Definition "Propsective Accommodation"

Hi Casa and thanks. Yes but what does "intend to live together" actually mean in real terms. Yes of course we intend to live together, is that not what marriage is all about... Obviously they cannot substantiate a statement from myself saying "I want to live in Bognor Regis." What about if I said I ...

Re: Financial req, Salaried and non-salaried employment

Hi
Thanks for your reply but you have not told me anything I do not know.

Based on experience/other cases what do you think?

I can probably get my current employer to write a quick note to explain the situation.

Re: Applying for fiance visa and claiming benefit

You are basically asking the ECO to waive or adjust the required income amount. If they do this for you then they will have to do it for everyone making the requirement redundant. AFAIK the only benefit that excludes you from meeting the financial requirements is PIP. I am not a legal expert, in fac...

Re: Akin to marriage evidence query

We have lived apart now for 1 year, 2 months and counting This will be your hurdle and likely reason for refusal. The 2 years cohabitation proof is the 2 years immediately preceding the application for a visa. A bill in her name while she is not living with you won't suffice. If you marry, then thi...

Re: Akin to marriage evidence query

It's not that we're unsympathetic and to some extent I've played devil's advocate. The ECO will follow the tick box procedure of the Immigration Rules and compassion doesn't play a part. If you're against entering into a marriage on principle, you may have to face the fact that your future together...

Re: Akin to marriage evidence query

We planned for this for our UPV, made sure we had paper joint bank statements, joint utility bills etc, in fact we are still not paperless even now, old habits die hard... You can't really do this on a wing and a prayer, needs to be planned in advance since UKVI check and double check and assume no...
