Re: ILR allowable absences in the UK

Correct but again, there is nothing that limits you to your annual leave. The only limit is 180 days limit as described. As long as your absences from work are approved by your sponsor (as you see in that guide), you can be away from the UK within that limit Thank you so so much Zimba for the reass...

Re: ILR allowable absences in the UK

Again, the continuous residence guide does NOT apply to your route. :!: There is no such thing as permitted absences. It is just the 180-day absence limit that applies Thank yo for confirming that! I think you meant the guide in my original post does not apply to my route, not the one I mentioned i...

Re: ILR allowable absences in the UK

That guide tells you that it does NOT apply to the skilled worker route and instead 'Appendix Continuous Residence' applies :!: Also those notes in that guide related to absences for employees are fairly old and leftovers from the time before the changes in 2022. The guide is from 2022 as you can s...

Hi all, I' m a secondary school teacher in my 3rd year on Skilled Worker Visa. I'd like to leave the UK between 21 July and 13 August this year to see my families. This 24-day absence from the UK is during the summer holiday when the school is closed and I'm getting paid during all school holidays. ...

Help! Is my CoS still valid after I cancel my application and resubmit?

Hi guys, I submitted my application last night and paid all the fees, but then realised today that when I started my application, I selecyed 'yes' to the question 'are you 17 yrs old or younger'. This led to the system does not allow me to use the app to prove my identity. If I cancel and resubmit, ...

Additional CoS increase or renewal annual CoS allocation?

Hi experts My sponsor does not have any current CoS allocation to assign me, so the HR requested an additional CoS on SMS. However it seems that the annual CoS has been set to zero by Home Office, because on the SMS 'request an additional cos' page, there is not a table displaying any CoS; my HR als...

Re: CoS allocation priority service request unsuccessful

There is nothing you or the sponsor can do to get into the 60 per day it is pure luck. They cannot submit before 9am as it clearly states For reason, it asks a reason why they need priority not the applicants details!! All they can do is try everyday Thanks CR001. So for the reason, we should have ...

CoS allocation priority service request unsuccessful

Hi guys My sponsor currently has no CoS allocation, so to get an allocation asap the HR applied for the priority service. The HR sent the application by email about 30 seconds after 9am and it was still unsuccesful. I heard within the first minute after 9am they received over 200 requests, and they ...

Re: Undefined COS processing delays

If they have a CoS available, it is instant to assign to you. If they don't have any and have to apply for an increase or new allocation, it is taking around 18 weeks at the moment which is what UKVI helpdesk told me when I applied to increase our cos allocation. We ended up paying £200 for priorit...

Change of job title but the same code and employer

I am a secondary school teacher on Skilled Worker Visa. Last year when I made the application, my job title on the CoS is 'Teacher of A and B'. From this September, the subjects I teach will be A and C, so my title changes to 'Teacher of A and C', not 'Teacher of A and B' as stated on the CoS. The o...

Re: No TNT BRP delivery email after Visa granted

Updates:

Called TNT today and they found there is a delivery under my name and my postcode!

This is super odd as I should have received an email earlier that they are deliverying the BRP but that email never came.

So anyone in similar situation you can contact TNT first.

No TNT BRP delivery email after Visa granted

My visa has been granted on 6 August, and still I haven't received the BRP delivery email from TNT. It has been 7 working days already. People around me have been telling me they have received theirs within 3 working days. Plus I'm changing my residential address in 2 weeks!   I'll c...

Hi guys, I received the decision email on 6 August from the Home Office for my Skilled Worker Visa application. National Insurance Number question in the form

I've submitted my application form and the bio-metric appointment is in 10 days. One of the questions in the application form asked me whether I have a national insurance number. I selected 'no' because by the time I filled in the form I have not received any letters/communication although I've appl...

If application refused due to wrong job code, can I apply for PSW afterwards?

Hi folks, I've just submitted my skilled worker visa application and due to a system glitch, the occupation code is missing on the assigned CoS. The HR was pretty sure that she has entered the code when creating the CoS as it is a mandatory question, so she rang the Home Office helpline and they hav...

Missing (not wrong) Job Code on an assigned CoS

On my CoS the job type (where employer selects occupation code) is missing. This is so odd because job type is a mandatory question and so in theory employer cannot create a CoS without filling it in. But on my CoS the job type was left empty, nothing there, and the CoS was successfully assigned. I ...

Re: 25 hrs weekly of work on CoS and shortage occupation

My CoS states that the weekly working hours is 25 hours, however my job is a full-time teaching role in a secondary school. Would this be a mistake? Since I am a teacher in a secondary school, I am not sure if this is how schools calculate working hours considered that we have summer/winter holiday...
